I've been here several times since they have opened and I can tell you that the burgers, nachos, and calamari are great and yes, even the coffee is great! The Sangria I would not get again but if you are not accustomed to great Sangria from the Spanish restaurants then maybe you will like Robinson's version. The hostesses and wait staff are all very polite and pleasant and the Bartenders/Barmaids are accommodating as well. I did once have a piece of EXTREMELY decadent gluten free chocolate cake (I felt as though I was eating fudge and that was NOT a bad thing) but I was surprised by the $14 charge on the bill. If I'm not mistaken it is made by a company called "Sweet Street" and they are rather pricey, hence the price tag. This is a great place to feel comfy at the bar and watch your games or just get together with friends, either way you will not be disappointed!

Excellent service at the bar and nachos were delicious!! Ordered nachos with blackened chicken. As soon as nachos hit the bar, the bartender noticed we had gotten regular grilled chicken so she went to the kitchen and two minutes later we had a side serving of blackened chicken as well. That’s great Service!! I believe bartender was Brooke. Thank you.

The most drab ,cold atmosphere ! Walked into a dirty work table , with a trash bag to welcome you!
The tables were dirty, along with the poor excuse of decorating for the fall!
Our waiter was sloppy, with a stained apron, and he lacked any energy whatsoever .
Now for the food!
Do not get the fish n' chips, unless you want thick fried breading, and a small amount of tough fish.Do not eat at any Mc Cloone's!!!
Their food is
notorious for being bad, with sky high prices!
Just stay away from all their restaurants.Their food is beyond awful ever single time!
It shouldn't be this way Mr. Mc Cloone!!!! $$$ For crap!

My dear friend took me here for my birthday lunch and the atmosphere was absolutely amazing! I ordered the turkey burger and fries and my burger was so hot and fresh and I loved the multigrain bun. My fries were really good. I wish they were a little bit hotter ( hence, the four stars for food, but not bad at all), but they were very tasty, My Friend who is a very picky eater had the thai chili wings which were scrumptious and the deviled eggs which were delicious. She also endorsed her meal. Overall amazing experience and Mike our server was very attentive and wonderful. I think it was a member of management that came around to ask us if we had enjoyed our experience and I thought that was a very nice touch. I will definitely be back to Robinson’s Ale house in Long branch!

I got a gluten-free burger with a gluten-free bun, which fell apart and it was very dry. I got sweet potato fries which was good. The inside is pretty nice and it had outdoor seating in the summer. The service was pretty good except I got a gluten-free burger, but I received a burger with a gluten bun. Thankfully, I asked to make sure it was because it did not look like one, but if you are gluten-free and you don’t know better then there’s a problem.
Dietary restrictions: Morning I ordered the gluten-free burger the gluten-free bun I got burger with a gluten bun the server got it wrong. I said gluten-free burger. I looked at the bun and it did not look like a gluten-free bun so I asked and thankfully asked otherwise there would’ve been a problem. so if you have allergies, beware they might mess up your order and might die if it’s serious

We stop by for fish taco and a burger. Amazingly good food, best fish taco I had in a while. Our waiter (Mati) was awesome, so friendly and helpful. Food came promptly and fresh. Thanks for such great service!

Surprised at the low rating based on reviews. This spot was perfectly lovely. Busy on a Tuesday, friendly and efficient service, great cocktails, delicious food. My boyfriend and I got the Pigs Wellington to start. The name made us laugh, but it’s essentially a really fancy hot dog, and so, so good. I had the Chicken Cobb as my main (huge sucker for a good Cobb salad), and it was perfect. I would definitely go back!
Delicious food! The ciders are great. Nachos are a must have.

I'm not one to leave bad reviews but the food here was mediocre at best. Im being kind. Sorry. Service was slow and the place was not even that crowded. More a place for younger people who dont know good food, if you're looking for a nice place to have dinner there are better options on the Pier. I'm sure a good chef and trained kitchen staff could make the food better with a few tweaks.
Edited: we has fish and chips (too doughy) and black bean burger on wholegrain bun (burger was decent, bun was borderline stale). Onion rings were good though.
Based on other reviews, it seems many others had a similar unpleasant experience.

Great new restaurant in Pier Village, very upbeat energetic vibe. All the food was delicious! Bar was backed up, drinks took longer than expected. But otherwise couldn't be better!
completely tasteless food…
Not a place for decent food. Go somewhere else to eat. Spent over $100 for 3 people and left half our foods at the table. This place is only for drinks.
