Went 9/28 Saturday night , way understaffed. The food was served warm at best and dried, probally sitting under the warmers . Suggestion to owner , when your understaffed ( it happens) stop seating people , only seat what you can handle.

Off season: short of help; food was warm at best. They had no veal or braised ribs, limited menu selection. One dinner was dry, the order must have been sitting under warming lamps for a while. Have a cocktail before you leave home, they are $16/$17 each, NYC prices!

Parking: It was fine, off season. Other times, be prepared to walk. The marina folks take a good percentage of them.

We dropped in for a drink and had Urie as a bartender. What a delight. He was friendly knowledgeable and made great drinks. Especially the pumpkin nog. La Barca needs to keep him around!!!!!

Loved the location and atmosphere, I asked for water refills twice and no one brought it, I also asked my server for a drink, she never brought my drink. The food did not have much flavor.

We went 3x. All 3 x were horrible. Waited 45 -1hr for food. Comes out cold. 1 time the waiter said there was a vip in the restaurant. We walked out with no food after 1 hour.

This place is such a VIBE....The food was phenomenal, we had the watermelon salad (oh my lord, the flavor in this was outstanding, so glad I tried it), the lobster gnocchi, and the lobster, shrimp and scallop Fra Diavolo - both excellent dishes! The complimentary bread and olive oil plate that came out before our meals was also exceptional, full of spices and flavor. We booked on Resy and were seated immediately upon arrival. The food came out quickly and the service was excellent as well. Our waitress was excellent and very attentive, and the manager and chef came to our table during our dinner to check in. The additional staff that refilled our water and cleared our plates were also very friendly. The atmosphere is upscale and the view of the marina is spectacular. Well done LaBarca we'll be back soon !!

Our party of 7 enjoyed our dinner at La Barca. Bread with oil was a nice start (they brought more out with the meal), shared a couple of appetizers, and had tasty entrees and wine. Waiter was friendly. The view of the marina was nice. Parking was not adjacent to the restaurant (it's in the gravel lot when you first enter the parking area -- not under the solar panels which are closer to the restaurant).

So I found this place googling Italian restaurant while staying in Ocean city. First off where it is located and where you park is kinda confusing because you are right next to a marina.
When we entered the restaurant the host didn’t seem like he was too happy that we came to dine there…don’t want to sound racist but depending on your skin color, I guess is where you are seated…at least that’s how it felt. I seen some comment on a male waiter that was really good…wish me and my family had him because the lady we had was not attentive at all, in fact the busboy brought us more bread and filled our drinks after telling the waitress we needed refills. So then they had a dish which was fettuccine with lobster for $49, my daughter wanted the fettuccini but wanted chicken instead and guess how much they charged me…$49 for chicken and fettuccine…crazy! Food was great but was it worth the price they were charging…I would say hell no. Bad service and overpriced food..although it was good just was not worth it.
Save your money and go somewhere else with the same food quality but cheaper prices and will appreciate your business more.

To start, the service was abysmal. We waited an hour for our cold appetizers, and when we asked the manager for assistance, he was less than sympathetic. Our server did not check in on us throughout the wait and when it finally arrived, the quality was appalling. Throughout the meal, our server did not ask to refresh our beverages until the very end of the meal.

All of the food was over cooked and The octopus, in particular, was so tough that I couldn't cut it with the butter knife I was given. The rigatoni vodka was watery, the mac n cheese too rich, too much mayo in the salmon tartare and no way there was a head chef turning out the food.

The view was nice but the décor felt outdated and the atmosphere lacked character and warmth, which was needed since it was also freezing.

To top it off, the meal was overpriced for the quality of food and service we received. We left feeling like we had wasted both our time and money.

We’ve been here a couple of times now- such a disappointment. The food really is incredible and the entire reason we wanted to give this place another chance. The gnocchi, steak, and tuna tartare are to die for.

Unfortunately the service and overall atmosphere here are just dismal. Our server Marley was the exception to that, but everyone else there seemed to just be aimlessly wandering around waiting for something to do (when there was surely more to do other than walk around the dining room). Especially the management. The wait times for our food were insane- 45 mins for cocktails, 45 mins for appetizers…we were there for 2.5 hours before we got our entrees. The wait time felt even longer since we could barely hear each other over the bizarrely placed DJ in the dining room…I’m not sure why they felt compelled to put a full blown DJ boot in the middle of the place, let alone have the volume justtt loud enough that we could barely hear each other across the table…that made the whole experience even less enjoyable.

I sincerely hope they figure out how to remedy the issues they have with their staffing, wait times, and ambiance. I really want to love this place, but they make it really hard with the practices they currently have in place.

Very good atmosphere, especially by the window looking out onto the bay. Didn’t have a good server, very unfriendly & did not accomadate accordingly. Drinks had zero alcohol, the server brought back a shot for me to pour into the glass?? Tacky …….like I said, bad server, but other than that all pretty good.

Go for the food! The food is divine- every time. Everything else is awful. We were seated pretty quickly. Over 30 minutes for cocktails and another 40 minutes apps.No bottles of Pinot Grigio available for sale. A lot of apologies. Marley was a wonderful waitress. Management walks around looking?‍♀️- not doing much else.
Probably our 7th visit. We feel like it has gotten more convoluted every time.

Ate here with my wife to celebrate our anniversary a few weeks ago. The food and service were great. Unfortunately, this will be a one-and-done for us despite the beautiful views.

While driving back to OC I received an additional alert that my card was charged a second time by the restaurant after the initial charge that occurred while we were still there.

I immediately checked the charge amount upon returning home and it was not for the tip, but for the amount before tip a second time!

I called the restaurant to ask and was told, "Oh that's been happening a lot recently. Just wait a few days and it should come off your pending transactions."

Not a very comforting response in the least bit as this was not a cheap meal.

I waited until Wednesday (we ate there on a Saturday) and my account was still showing double the charge. I had to call my bank to have them put the money back into our account for the second charge.
