For context, i LOVE sushi and raw fish - so I’m not sensitive to/know what to expect regarding the texture/flavor. I’ve gotten the toro scallion roll a few times earlier in the year and it was great! Beautiful light color and the taste was what i would’ve expected.
Unfortunately however, the most recent few times I have gotten that same roll, the toro was absolutely disgusting. The meat was so so so dark, slimy, and VERY fishy. Nauseating - i couldnt even finish two bites. I’m not sure what has been going on the last couple of months but each time I had continuously ordered (just to see if maybe they had an off day or two), I’ve had the exact same experience. The roll is on the cheaper end of typical toro rolls, so I understand it may not be the BEST, but If you cannot provide even decent quality, just take it off of the menu. I don’t like writing reviews like this and it’s unfortunate because I used to really like this place, but it’s happened too many times to not say something.

Another visit to a random sushi restaurant for lunch. Picked this cozy place in Madison based on location and reviews.
Let’s start with parking - it is in the middle of Madison and while during the day - you may get lucky and find a spot near it - i recommend side streets if this is a friday night.
Overall - your typical sushi restaurant with table or bar? Sitting… very clean and cozy. During the day not too busy.
Menu is typical and it would take me a year or daily visits to try everything so i opted for the usual - sashimi appetizer and a specialty roll called salmonia?
Sashimi appetizer - fresh and big portions as compared to last place i checked out. Hit the spot. No complaints.
Roll was ok as well - bit crunchy which i like, not spicy - which i also like!!!
Now - let me say this- in all my years of visiting a sushi restaurant - today was the first time i actually paid attention to their chop-sticks! This place goes an extra mile - clearly they are not buying cheapest sticks that either break when you are trying to separate them or leave a splinter in your finger. Theirs was smooth, thick and solid. Fancy napkins as well. All of that gives you confidence that they dont take a short cut on their food either! Wish i had a biggest stomach to try another dish off their menu but maybe i will come back again as they are worth it.
Prices are typical for Madison - slightly above average but it’s expected!
Staff was attentive and pleasant!

This is our family’s go to sushi place for dining in and takeout! It’s the best in the area, with fresh sushi and really great special rolls. The service is the best - friendly and patient with so much kindness to children - and the sushi chef is always the same, crafting delicious food! My kids love the all salmon dinner!

So, we were looking for a place to eat Christmas evening after visiting family in the hospital, looked on google, and saw this place was still open (gave them a call to make sure). Got seated and ordered some gyoza, which was phenomenal. I also ordered a salmon lover sushi platter, which I got with a clear soup. Everything was absolutely delicious. When we are back in the area this is going to be my goto place to eat.

Excellent sushi and creative options. Restaurant is on the smaller side so best to make a reservation. In the heart of Madison and usually easy to find parking nearby.
Try rock shrimp tempura, Japanese cauliflower, scallop with Brussels sprouts, tuna pizza, and fisherman’s sandwich. I will have to go back to try the other options.

My wife and I have been going to Blue Wazabi and/or ordering in at least monthly for a number of years. The sushi is excellent and fresh, service is friendly and the prices are reasonable. We've tried all of the Japanese restaurants in nearby towns and, while many are decent, Blue Wazabi is our go-to favorite. I highly recommend giving them a try.

Have ordered twice off DoorDash and can say this is the best sushi in Morris County. You can immediately taste the freshness of the fish and sweetness of the rice. We’ve ordered from another restaurant in Morristown for years and we’ll never order there again because of how good this has been.

The worst Japanese restaurant I have . The pineapple beef fired rice tastes nothing ,the beef not fresh ,the rice not like sushi rice , and nuts is wet and tastes expired, the tempura ? soup udon taste water and mushroom, the crape diet roll is ok , look a good , but can be better,$21 it can be taste better. Anyway ,this is not a Japanese taste! very bad experience.
