“My wife and I had the most delightful experience at The Hidden Chickpea in Madison, NJ! ?✨ From the moment we stepped in, the cozy ambiance and friendly staff made us feel right at home. ?I ordered the MAD Burger ? - a true masterpiece featuring two smashed Beyond Burger patties, lusciously topped with red onion jam, vegan provolone, fresh lettuce, juicy tomato, all brought together with a rosemary garlic aioli. Served with a side of hand-cut fries ?, this burger was beyond belief! I was utterly amazed at how it rivaled traditional beef in both taste and texture. ??For sides, we indulged in the hummus and smashed sprouts - both were absolutely divine. ?? My wife opted for the Fonzi bowl, a delightful mix of quinoa, roasted zucchini, yellow squash, roasted red peppers, vegan feta, and beet aioli. “Went here today with my mom and boyfriend. Literally ordered sooo much food (almost the whole menu) and everything was phenomenal. We all got a fistbump. This guy knows his sauce. “A delightful dining experience at this BYOB. Probably the friendliest service we’ve encountered. Next door to a wine shop if you forget. Stuffed mushrooms were excellent, earthy with a very nice sauce. Specials of seafood w linguine (clams and crab) and a Parmesan chicken (chicken martini) were excellent. The homemade tiramisu was delicious and fluffy, to melt on the tongue. Excellent dinner. Service was perfectly paced.”

“The food here is sooo delicious!! Tried it tonight with my husband and we highly recommend it. The sandwich bread is perfect (usually my husband is super picky about that) and they’re super generous with the portions. We got the Oreo milkshake too and omg it was so yummy. Try it!! 10/10. The staff was also extremely friendly and helpful.”

“Me and my son had a chinese craving so we ordered here. Never been before. We shared and it was actually enough for us. We got the chicken lo mein which was sooo good. Not too greasy either, like the right amount of flavor/sauce. Beef with broccoli was also very tasty. They gave a good amount of beef. The broccoli was not soggy at all. Still had great texture. The almond cookies were also tasty. I also felt the price was good since I ordered on Uber eats. Definitely going to order here again.”

“On our way home and picked up some desserts from this cozy cafe nearby. My eyes landed on these cute little personal size crepes! I love the fact that each of us got to pick our own flavor instead of agreeing on a single flavor big cake. My personal flavor was the chocolate sea salt caramel, and the matcha was good too. The staff was very friendly and invited me back for their seasonal flavors. Highly recommended!”

“Begum Palace is a hidden gem that never fails to impress. The food is always fresh and flavorful, and the service is top-notch. “This review is seriously overdue, I love coming here! If I could give them more stars I honestly would. I love supporting local businesses vs. corporate places when I can. They have soo many flavors, great service and always very clean. Its also in a really great part of town which is very convenient for me. My personal favorite menu items there are the CUTEST little home made chipwiches and the shakes (I always request Paul make the shake if he’s there) its soo good! Definitely recommend. The cakes are great as well, I got one for my friend’s birthday recently, everyone loved it!”

“Highly recommend this place for take-out. Prices are higher than other pizza joints, but you're getting the quality you pay for. On top of that, the owner Keith is a real nice guy and great about answering your questions. This is take-out only and not really any waiting room so don't arrive too early or be prepared to wait in your car. Tried several of their pizzas along with a few of their appetizers, sandwiches, and desserts over the last couple years. Their Detroit Style is their most famous, but you can't go wrong with any of their specialities. I personally loved the New York Style as well as the Trenton Tomato. Toppings are a little pricy to add on but their ingredients are fresh, so it's worth it if you feel like splurging on pizza a little bit. Their non-pizza items are also done well, so it's not just purely a pizza spot, and really with the menu huge as it is, you can most certainly find something for pretty much anyone. Desserts are pretty solid too. It depends on what you like, as I've enjoyed some and others not as much. I'll always recommend the Creme Brûlée Cheesecake, which even stays good to eat the next day, if for whatever reason you end up deciding to save it. If I have a complaint, it's that they don't offer lunch during the week and are closed on Mondays, but hey small price to pay.”

Our waiter was attentive. The decibel level was moderate. When the bill arrived, we agreed that it was quite reasonable.”

“Great small, quant place in town for Mediterranean food. We came for an earlier dinner at 5:30 on a Saturday and we were the only table. There were a number of people coming in to pick up takeout and delivery orders though. We started with the lentil soup and then I had the Chicken Kabob entree and my wife had the Mahi Mahi entry. We both really enjoyed our meals. The portion size was perfect and everything had great flavor. The staff was really friendly. We will definitely be back.”

“We have been going to Italian Village for 20+ years. It has been our go to for pizza and catering. Tonight we had shrimp Francese with spaghetti and Shrimp Milanese with penne. Thanks for the Recommendation Dominick) Both were delicious. The shrimp is cooked to perfection. Both entrees came with a side salad and Bread. We were treated to complementary cheesecake and tiramisu. Both made fresh daily and both delicious. The cheesecake had a creme brulee topping. We always enjoy our meals there and the staff is always friendly and welcoming.”

“We ordered from Blue Wazabi many times and always enjoy their delicious sushi, but have not had the pleasure of eating at the restaurant until tonight. We walked in on a busy Saturday evening and the place was packed! We did not have a reservation and were seated at the bar. The dishes were all amazing as usual, but the service was truly impressive. Even though we waited for a while for our food, Wendy was very attentive and had a complimentary appetizer prepared for us. It was a great evening and I would highly recommend!”

“I really enjoyed my banana strawberry smoothie. There's often a crowd there around lunch or dinner time, so it takes a little time to get your smoothie. Usually under 10 minutes but sometimes longer. I see other people come in that have ordered ahead of time. But it seems they don't start making it till the person shows up anyway. They have large diameter straws so they don't clog up like straws from other smoothie places. The parking on the street is adequate. Sometimes you need to walk a block or so from the parking space.”

Fries are great too.... sometimes they can be a little undercooked.You can get cheaper burgers but the kids love them and are consistently satisfying.Wish they had other sides and options on the menu.We keep coming back so they have to be doing something right.”

“Nice restaurant with an interesting selection of cocktails. I ended up switching back to vodka martinis, which were excellent. The other choices were a little too sweet for my taste. The food is good as well. Beet salad was excellent, short ribs were pretty good. The hamburgers didn't look like anything special but no complaints at my table. Limited menu but everyone found something. The atmosphere and service were good, nice big bar.”

I had a sake cocktail (or two) and the Korean beef, which was recommended by 2 other customers.As someone at the bar said, the menu has been Americanized since the last owners, so there’s not a focus on only Shanghai foods anymore (evidenced by the Korean beef above).Would absolutely return for food, atmosphere, and music!”
