Whether we get take out or dine in, the staff is extremely friendly, the food is fresh and flavorful, the music is calming jazz and the booths are so comfortable. We have many favorite dishes @ we especially love the thickness & taste of the raita. We highly recommend this restaurant, and we also enjoyed it 25 years ago when it was Begum Palace. The owners make us feel like family.“

“When we decided to make a reservation here I was concerned because the parking situation in Madison is difficult. IlGoccino has parking in the rear of the restaurant so it was fine. The staff were warm and welcoming and they honored our reservation on arrival. The food was excellent - the salmon cooked to perfection and the chicken was tender and delicious as well. “My team had a lunch booked today and stepping into L’Allegria was a beautiful surprise. I booked the restaurant based on the menu and ratings, plus parking looked easy. Without planning it we had a private room where we could celebrate the departure of one of our colleagues. Alana took great care of us and the food was delicious and well executed. Temperatures were perfect on the food too. The zucchini blossoms and homemade gnocchi were the best I’ve had in YEARS. The chef and restaurant team are to be commended. I look forward to returning with my husband for dinner. Thank you!“

“I have been only going here fro a few years now because I do not live in Madison. However the food is awesome here and the front of house staff is very friendly. It is hard to find a really good Chinese food restaurant but I can honestly say this is my favorite one.“

“The Tavern was able to host our post-funeral luncheon on just a few days notice. While they don’t have a private room their space was nicely laid out to accommodate our party of around thirty. We chose a limited menu and everything was very good with the pot roast beef getting especially high marks. Special thanks to Carol and her hard working staff who made this event stress free for my family.“

Not just your average Thai restaurant, a very varied menu. I recommend the delicate little dumplings appetizer and the Lamb Chops with Lemongrass. Also, the Thai Sweet Tea was delicious and the wait staff and owners were patient, helpful and kind.“
