“A very humble looking restaurant from the outside but inside is very cozy and clean once you enter. The friendly hostess made you feel comfortable even as a first time guest. Owner/chef cooked up very delicious Turkish food and the portion is generous. We will certainly come back again.“

“Just had CAVA in Union and it was amazing. The food was fresh, flavorful, and everything tasted really well put together. The staff was friendly and moved quick, even though it was busy. Definitely one of the better spots around here if you want something healthy that actually tastes good. I’ll for sure be coming back.“

“The most amazing and delicious Turkish Breakfast I ever had. Not only in New Jersey area. I’ve tried lots of places in the Tri-State area and it’s definitely 5 Stars. Everything is homemade. There’s a lot of food when you order Turkish Breakfast. The cheese on the platter is very rich. Definitely try the Turkish eggy toast. It’s absolutely so yummy. It’s only on Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm. The atmosphere is fantastic. Especially for any kind of showers or parties. I’ve found out they have 2 more locations in Cliffside Park,NJ & Livingston,NJ as well. The owner is super nice and he welcomes and is so polite to customers. The prices are very reasonable. They have a huge parking lot. Handicapped customers are welcome to restrooms and parking lot.“

“Absolutely delicious and authentic! You can taste the love in the food. Standout dishes were Kashke Bademjan (eggplant) and Kabob Koobideh (lean ground lamb). The kabob was one of the best I’ve ever had - juicy, perfectly spiced, tender, and flavorful. Very good portion size as well. BYOB. We will definitely be back soon!“

“What’s wonderful meal before the show!! Surprising gem!! Excellent food - so fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere is lovely and the restaurant is beautifully and authentically decorated and so so clean. We were really impressed. Our Server New everything about all of the selections. He was able to share all of the special ingredients for each item and with such a warm smile!“

“The staff was all very nice and attentive. The food was so delicious. The drinks were really good too. I got the roasted duck special of the day. The duck was still crispy even with the sauce on it. The tiramisu was also delicious, but I expected that from calandras. It's a fancier restaurant than I expected it to be, but the food was really really good.“

“I had pastitsio in Greece that wasn’t as good as this! My friend got the lamb; it was perfectly cooked and seasoned. Our pistachio baklava was the perfect end to our meal! The prices are a little high but the quality and care makes it totally worth it.“

“1st let me say - HI BEATRICE from your new customers Sarah & Doreen!!!! we were so thrilled to find your restaurant! then you gave us a BOISTEROUS welcome letting us know exactly how your system worked and what our options were. oh.... and then the choices were OFF THE CHART!!!! One more delicious than the next... thank you, thank you, thank you Beatrice - you have locked us in as two regulars... we barely spoke while we ate - Sarah & I were humming, 'cause the food was JUST THAT GOOD! “We went for the first time last Sunday. All I can say is wow. From the wait staff to the kitchen staff to management, everyone was incredibly friendly, unbelievably accommodating when it came to food allergies (they came out to talk about everything in specific detail to make sure it was safe before it was cooked and served), and the food was absolutely delicious!! I would absolutely recommend trying Marakesh out if you haven't been. They will be more than happy to go over the menu and explain anything you might not recognize or need changed because of restrictions. You can also call ahead so it can be prepped ahead of time for you. I will definitely be back again!!“

“After a tasty round of appetizers including tangy baked Fava beans, creamy smooth hummus, baba ghanoush and crispy on the outside, soft on the inside falafel, we feasted on two lamb dishes, one of which was perfectly grilled, and an order of couscous with vegetables. I still remember today how great everything tasted. Service was friendly and efficient and the decor included lamps and accessories imported from Morocco. Portions were generous and they provide containers for the leftovers. You can only eat so much! Highly recommended.“

“I ordered a yeero with Greek fries, a dessert, and smoothies from Summit Greek Grill using UberEats. The food arrived fresh and flavorful (I adore the hint of lemon and the feta cheese for the Greek fries!). Unfortunately, our driver forgot our smoothies. I was writing it off as a loss with plans to contact Uber, when I received a phone call from the manager of the restaurant, Ali. He was emphatic that he wanted to make things right by us, took my name and phone number, and personally delivered the drinks to my door. Ali made sure to call us along the way, letting me know he closed the restaurant to bring my food. My boyfriend tried to offer him a tip as a thank you, but he denied it and even called me back to apologize that my boyfriend ran out in the cold without a jacket. I will most certainly be frequenting this restaurant often, both for the amazing food and stellar customer service! Oompah! 🇬🇷“
