“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“For dinner we when to RUMI and it was amazing! Appetizers absolutely delicious all our dinners were delicious fresh hot completely satisfied . And then we had complementary Turkish tea and we all had desserts which were absolutely delicious someone with a sweet tooth would love. “This is a cool Georgian restaurant in Newark, NJ. I stopped by randomly after shopping for an event. I tried Adjaruli Khachapuri for the first time in my life. It was pretty interesting in how it was prepared but it was tasty. I also had the creamy garlic chicken and some wine. Great for a solo lunch date or just because.“

“The most amazing and delicious Turkish Breakfast I ever had. Not only in New Jersey area. I’ve tried lots of places in the Tri-State area and it’s definitely 5 Stars. Everything is homemade. There’s a lot of food when you order Turkish Breakfast. The cheese on the platter is very rich. Definitely try the Turkish eggy toast. It’s absolutely so yummy. It’s only on Sundays 10:00am-2:00pm. The atmosphere is fantastic. Especially for any kind of showers or parties. I’ve found out they have 2 more locations in Cliffside Park,NJ & Livingston,NJ as well. The owner is super nice and he welcomes and is so polite to customers. The prices are very reasonable. They have a huge parking lot. Handicapped customers are welcome to restrooms and parking lot.“

“I ordered a yeero with Greek fries, a dessert, and smoothies from Summit Greek Grill using UberEats. The food arrived fresh and flavorful (I adore the hint of lemon and the feta cheese for the Greek fries!). Unfortunately, our driver forgot our smoothies. I was writing it off as a loss with plans to contact Uber, when I received a phone call from the manager of the restaurant, Ali. He was emphatic that he wanted to make things right by us, took my name and phone number, and personally delivered the drinks to my door. Ali made sure to call us along the way, letting me know he closed the restaurant to bring my food. My boyfriend tried to offer him a tip as a thank you, but he denied it and even called me back to apologize that my boyfriend ran out in the cold without a jacket. The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. “Humble seems to be the best word to summarize this restaurant. The men who run it seem to have a great rapport with their customers; they’ve been there for 20+ years and it shows. They were kind and accomodating. The food was plated carefully and was pretty taste. My only complaints were putting margarine on my pancakes without asking and the tiny plastic utensils, which left my hands covered in syrup. However both of those go to the restaurant being unpretentious. There’s no atmoshere to speak of but it was clean. I’d eat here again but probably wouldn’t go out of my way.“

We ordered a mixed shawarma combo dish to share and it came with 2 appetizers. You get to choose the appetizers that you prefer & we chose baba ganoush & yogurt salad. Both appetizers made excellent dips with the bread provided.

I loved the lamb in this dish. It was flavorful. I added the yogurt salad on top for that perfect taste!

They also provide catering options for all types of events.

I will definitely recommend this place to friends and family in the area! So glad I stopped by and can’t wait to come back soon.“
