“Our group from Grace Episcopal Church of Rutherford had a remarkable time at our "Brunch Group Outing" on Wednesday, August 14th. Everybody enjoyed their meals, with most of us taking some home. The servings were abundant and tasty, and the wait staff was attentive and sensitive to our needs. Your place was a great choice for this event. “Here's the review Spencer wrote for you: My family and I just visited to celebrate my grandsons birthday- we like to get a bunch of plates and share family style and this menu was perfect for that. You have to get mezze and extra bread (must try the kubane). We also ended up getting three orders of the shishbarak for the six of us, it is way too good! I got the salmon for my entree which was cooked to perfection and beautifully seasoned. Spencer our server recommended the silan and the cheesecake for dessert so we shared those and boy were they something special- I can’t pick a favorite! He brought us a candle and we got some great pictures. I can’t recommend this restaurant enough.“

“As soon as my sister and i walked in, we sat down, and i took a look around and saw how beautiful the interior was. The waiter came and took our order and maybe 20-30 after the food arrived. I ordered the truffle polenta while my sister ordered a burger. The food was really good. After we got dessert. We both got the tiramisu. It was great. The total was about $100 dollars, including the tip. The restaurant is full during dinner, so i would recommend reserving a table.“

“For dinner we when to RUMI and it was amazing! Appetizers absolutely delicious all our dinners were delicious fresh hot completely satisfied . And then we had complementary Turkish tea and we all had desserts which were absolutely delicious someone with a sweet tooth would love. “Jackie Smalls – My New Favorite Brunch Spot!

I don’t usually go out for brunch because most places serve the same old eggs and pancakes, but Jackie Smalls completely changed my mind. This has to be my favorite breakfast/brunch spot I’ve tried!

I ordered the Freekeh Bowl, Grains of Nazareth, and French Toast, and every dish was incredibly fulfilling and well-balanced. But let me tell you—the French Toast was hands down the best I’ve ever had. They use sourdough bread infused with rose, which adds such a unique flavor. The whipped cream on the side was unbelievably fresh (unlike anything I’ve had before!), and the maple syrup had just the right amount of sweetness.

If you haven’t been to Jackie Smalls yet, you need to give it a try. Trust me, you won’t be disappointed!“

We were bummed out that they didn’t have any Bronzino, considering our table doesn’t eat any meat or shellfish. We got the Dover soul as a replacement for the Bronzino, we all really normally like Dover soul, but this was not prepared well.

“I love Turkish food and I have traveled to Turkey many times, so I have a comparison basis. This is another Americanized Turkish food restaurant. I ordered the grilled meatballs (in reality they are called kofte, but they don't say that on the menu). They tasted like burger patties, missing the kofte spices. Service was great, but I wished for real Turkish food, not American version. They played it safe and as a result it's a little inauthentic and blah. It's good food but it doesn't stand out.“

Their falafel is peerless, impeccable and downright divine. The chicken shawarma bursts with flavor within you and has a beautiful contrasting crust. The fries are gorgeous and extremely flavorful. The hummus is perfect.“
