“Small place ran by a lovely couple with all the signature classic Romanian dishes! This place is a complete hidden gem! The eggplant salad starter is just like my grandmother and mother make, the meats are excellent - portion sizes are huge and everything tastes like a solid Romanian place on my visits to Romania. The star today was the Papanasi - a classic Romanian cheese donut! One of the best I had ever! Highly recommended! Will definitely come again!“

The timing of everything was great, the staff came around often but we’re not overbearing at all, it was the perfect balance of coming around when we needed them and giving us our space to enjoy ourselves. Definitely worth every penny. My family is very picky and not one complaint.“

“First time there for myself. My wife had been there recently for lunch. OMG, amazing. We started with their homemade, warm Pita with Babaganush (sp?). Awesome. I had their Arugala salad, which I like wherever I go. This was amazing as well. Then we had our entrees. None of us could finish our meals, they were so plentiful and delicious. We each took home doggy bags. We told them we couldn’t possibly eat desserts so we ordered some to go. They then brought out hot Turkish teas for us AND a plate of a custard for us to share. Delicious!!! WOW! This place jumped right up near the top of our list for favorite restaurants. We will definitely be back.“

“Nice Mediterranean spot, might want a reservation as it is a bit small. Excellent dessert selections and pastries. We enjoyed the calamari, hummus, and the mixed grill and decided the lamb chops were the best part. All of it was delicious but I would order just lamb chops next time, the mixed grill is a nice way to try several meats. The hummus and pita were very good as was the calamari and the sauce it was served with was very nice as well.“

“Cute spot for an intimate dinner or sitting at the bar. I had bread with arahova feta butter, which was good. For the main, I had the cavatelli with pesto, which had nice strong notes of basil. My husband had the tagliolini al Amalfi limone, which had bright notes of lemon balanced with saltiness from the cheese. For dessert, we shared the dark chocolate mousse, which was delicious — rich, not too sweet, and ample portion for sharing. The cocktails are also good.

Also VERY fresh, has a citrus kick somewhere, and seems to be made fresh as well. Because it doesn't taste like a store bought sauce filled with preservatives. The hummus? That might actually be where the citrus is from. However, the hummus is not overly salty! You can actually taste the Chickpeas and they use good ingredients as well as olive oil for the hummus too! The chicken? Is in NO way shape or form dry and it's actually seasoned! It's juicy and normal is it overcooked. The olives? Brothers and sisters I HATE olives by themselves, rarely on certain foods. But these olives are not overpowering and stealing the flavor profile, it just adds more depth to the flavor bomb of the Greek chicken Pita! The feta? What could be bettah? Seriously though if you can see this picture you should've seen that they don't skip on the feta either. Again the flavor is ALL the way there but not overpowering. While the texture is almost creamy. Probably with assistance from the sauce but still, it's not overly dry! 10/10 Would recommend & I will be back! Now the facility was spotless, the cleanest "fast food" I've ever seen. The staff? Phenomenonal, personable, kind, attentive to details, and downright superstars that make that place run like clockwork! Wooooo wo weeeee wo!!! If you haven't been here then you've got to go!! She was handling the busy crowd so well, she made our night memorable! Along with the view of the bridge and the city added to the overall ambiance. The line was long but I didn’t have to wait long. Majority of their options are spicy, so I feel like the need more varieties for people who don’t like spicy food. “We had a very tasty and satisfying small dinner which consisted of an appetizer of perfectly spiced lamb sambousek with a chicken shawarma wrap split between us. The one chicken sandwich was ample and more than enough food for both of us.

Our waitress Marcela was very elegant and explained all of our questions about the portion sizes, ingredients, etc. She was very accommodating, bringing sauces like gatlic yogurt sauce and red chili sauce to complement what we ate.

“If you’re in DUMBO, Brooklyn, you have to visit Meatup! The food was absolutely amazing — everything tasted fresh, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The meat was juicy, tender, and full of rich flavor. You can really tell they care about quality.

The atmosphere was cozy but modern, and the location in DUMBO makes it even better — such a nice area to walk around before or after your meal. The staff were super friendly, attentive, and made the whole experience even more enjoyable.
