The food at Carmel Haifa has always been great. At our recent visit on Sunday we arrived really close to their lunch break and they had already locked up and in their car ready to take off. However, when they saw us, Mr. Mahmoud got off his car and graciously opened the store up again and served us our carry out lunch. I really respect them for their empathy, and humility. please visit this place anytime you won't go wrong.
I have gotten the falafel platter with rice here every time I come to Morristown for work. It is always SO freaking good. The falafels are super crispy with great flavor, some of the best I have ever had. The hummus and baba are both also excellent. The salad is a nice romaine with a light, creamy dressing that is not just an afterthought of crappy lettuce thrown in as filler, but a perfect accompaniment to the rest of the platter. Chicken was tender and rich with flavor. Chicken shawarma tastes as grilled chopped chicken not as regular shawarma on the stick with some crunchy part. I like the bread with onion and salsa. The garlic sauce very tasty. The staff was friendly.
