Incredible food and service. I am not from New Jersey and didn't realize that you could bring your own wine which was very nice as well. I would highly recommend this restaurant to both locals and visitors from out of state. Just know you need to bring your own alcohol.

Cute decor with incredible food! All the staff is incredible in their hospitality and polite. They have the most amazing porcini mushroom ravioli!! I often stop by to pick it up to go when I happen to be in the area. It’s a bit pricey at $45 for a dinner portion, but I don’t mind paying a premium for good quality fresh ingredients.

My wife and I apply five factors to dining experiences: food quality, food creativity, service, atmosphere and overall experience. Il Mondo Vecchio scores very high on all five factors. The meals were excellent and the menu was extremely diverse. Many amazing choices. The service was impeccable- I cannot say enough about every level of service, from the maitre d to the bus boys. The waiter was extraordinary - he made this a wonderful experience. To be specific, my wife had the fig salad and I had the mushroom ravioli as appetizers. Both were amazing. For mains, we both had chicken dishes. Each main course was incredible. We had a phenomenal overall experience. My wife and I would definitely recommend Mondo Vecchio.

We have eaten here a couple of times and have ordered the lamb chops, which have been delicious. This last time, one of the dishes we ordered was agnello griglia , which is their grilled lamb chops. The dish that came out was different than what we have had before. It was one large chop, which was a lamb shoulder chop. This is not an equivalent cut of lamb, it is a tougher chop that needs to be cooked longer. In addition, we ordered it medium rare which is what the chef recommends and it was cooked medium well. When we questioned what it was, the servers were insisting this dish was the correct item, one even suggested that they bring out a chop for us to try. We just wanted what we ordered. If they could not provide what was ordered, they should have told us that they were out of the dish and not pull a switch. This was an expensive dish and to be served an inferior cut was not acceptable.
