One of the less popular pizzerias in the area, nothing exciting here dull and lifeless atmosphere and food is nothing special. Inconsistencies in staffing and procurement. Is always empty when I drive by

We will frequently stop by to pick up a slice or maybe a sub but two nights ago we ordered delivery for the first time.
Service on the phone-super polite. Arrived-on time. Order was perfect. The food was scrumptious. And the portion size was beyond generous! So much so I'm willing to say it puts all of their competition to shame. Damn! Do you get your money's worth! And as I said, scrumptious.... Very well prepared.
Great Job guys! Thanks

Anywhere else in the world this would be a great pizzeria, but in this area it’s just ok.
I have been getting slices from IVP since the mid-80’s and it was always 5 star, really excellent. It changed a couple years ago and it’s only ok now. As others have mentioned, the pizza is very oily, much more so than other NJ pizzerias. I get pepperoni slices at other places and they are never as greasy as they are here.
The crust is ok, but something makes their slices greasy/oily.
In summary, this once glorious pizzeria (for close to 40 years) is now a second tier pizzeria. The slices are just ok.

The staple pizzeria of Madison when you think of “household name restaurants.”
Discovered it’s been here for 47 years and the decades in business explain exactly why 🍕

buffalo chicken wings are the best i've had in years. They were crispy on the outside, juicy on the inside, and the buffalo sauce was just right, not too spicy, not too mild. I could've eaten a whole bucket them. Definitely going back for more!

Italian Village Pizza is a true neighborhood gem in Madison. Located right on Main Street, this spot delivers exactly what you want from a classic Italian pizzeria—consistently great food, generous portions, and friendly service.
The pizza is always fresh with a perfectly crispy crust, flavorful sauce, and quality toppings. Whether you’re grabbing a quick slice or ordering a full pie, everything comes out hot and satisfying. Their menu goes beyond pizza too—pastas, heroes, and classic Italian comfort dishes are all solid choices.
What really stands out is the welcoming, old-school vibe and how reliable they are. It’s the kind of place you keep coming back to because you know you’ll never be disappointed.
If you’re in Madison and craving classic Italian pizza done right, Italian Village Pizza is a must-try.
