Very nice ambiance & setting. We enjoyed the eggplant rollatini, veal parm, and the Aragosta specialita della casa was excellent! (Chunks of fresh lobster meat, flambéed with cognac and bourbon and returned to its shell bathed with a creamy tomato sauce enhanced with sage and cayenne pepper). Did not like the meatballs.
We've dined there before. It is always outstanding. This time we were in the area for a family funeral. The party was large,14 people. I made a reservation on my account for 6. My nephew made a reservation for 8 on his account. The restaurant noticed the same last name, called and asked if we would like to be seated together. I. Said yes and they accommodated us in a side room. The service was fantastic. Their kindness in seating us together was thoughtful. A great spot.
This is truly a hidden gem! Located just off Madison Avenue in a historic home in Madison, NJ, it has been converted into a beautiful restaurant. The ambiance is excellent and the various seating areas provide for either a quiet conversation friendly atmosphere or an informal meeting place for small groups. The service is outstanding, as is the Italian food prepared freshly by the chef. All of the dishes that we have tried over several visits have been excellent, tasty and attractively...
