Really great experience here! Great healthy vegan food. Two steps to enter this old style diner. One single stall gender neutral restroom.
very cute place! we both got chickpea flats and they were soo good and also way more filling than expected. will definitely be going back! would rate 5 stars if possible
High price for Mac and cheese that was not very good
Everything we got was great. Probably the best vegan chicken I've ever had. Will be returning for sure.

Falafel sandwich was normal means Not good and Not Bad. They recommended a side called sprouts was amazing
Drinks are so bad. I tried lemon mint and ice coffee .. the worst I ever had.
Don’t think will try it again because prices are so high.

Found this wanting to stop for good food before my drive up to Boston w/ my boyfriend who has been vegetarian for 7 yrs. He put me onto vegan food and it's been delightful finding new places to eat! This place had a wide menu selection, and not all of their items contained soy like i find at most vegan restaurants (i am soy intolerant). We ordered the Bomb-Bay flat which was so delicious. He ordered the Fungo Sandwich & as someone who does not like mushrooms for anything, even I liked the Fungo Sandwich! I ordered the Philly Cheesesteak which really hit the spot!
All the flavors and

My son and I stopped here today after visiting Drew University. Listen, from the customer service, the food, to the chef (yes, he is foinne ?, to me ?.). I had the garbanzo burger w/fries, yummy ?. You have to stop here!!! I recommend it 10/10. I wish they had a location in Brooklyn, NY. It was hands down better than Bare Burger. 10/10/10 across the board.

We were really looking forward to visiting this place due to its impressive 4.9-star rating. Unfortunately, in my opinion, it didn’t quite live up to that. I would rate it more around 3.6 stars. The Mac & cheese and Brussel sprouts were good. The chickpea flatbread was quite dry and plain, lacking flavor. The service was just okay, and it was very difficult to find parking.
When you see a restaurant with 100 reviews and a 4.9-star rating, you expect it to be excellent. I have to say, it wasn’t quite up to that standard. I’m not sure if there was something off happening in the kitchen today.
We appreciate the effort and the friendly staff. I can’t say that I would ever come back or recommend.

I recently visited The Hidden Chickpea, for a quick Friday lunch, and I was thoroughly impressed. This cozy spot offers a delightful selection of healthy and delicious dishes centered around roasted chickpeas.
I opted for The Chickpea and the Fig flat, which features a base of roasted chickpeas with vegan parmesan, basil, and garlic, topped with fig compote, hot agave, vegan feta, and fresh fig. The combination of flavors was nothing short of spectacular - a perfect balance of savory and sweet.
To complement my meal, I also tried a side of Smashed Sprouts. These seasoned, smashed Brussels sprouts were topped with vegan parmesan, sautéed onions, and a balsamic glaze. They were crispy, savory, and utterly satisfying.
To drink, I had a refreshing mango iced tea, which was the perfect choice for a hot day.
Overall, The Hidden Chickpea is a must-visit for anyone in Madison looking for delicious and healthy food. The variety and quality of their offerings left me eager to return and try more.

This really amazing girl named angelica took my order. She was very professional and amazing talking with customers. She truly was an amazing human vegan being and I wouldn’t have wanted anyone else to take my order.

Excellent service with lots of unique and healthy options on the menu. Majority of the items are vegan, and most can be made GF upon request. I loved the vegan GF chikn sandwich!
I’m obsessed with this place. The food is fresh and tasty, and there’s a variety of vegan options. Even my non vegan family members love it. The staff are friendly and the service is quick.

Heard about Hidden Chickpea on Instagram. Had to try it. Cute restaurant. Lots of choices.
I’m so happy to have a vegan restaurant close by. This restaurant never disappoints. Every thing has always been delicious and flavorful. Even my non vegan husband loves it.
