Mason Jar Family Restaurant and Bar

OMG! This restaurant was awesome. It was right next to the Fairfield inn. We could walk to the place. What’s great surprise when we discovered it was a bbq place! Boom our heads exploded with the great smoky flavors flowing out from the kitchen. We were seated by a lovely lady who was very attentive and exited that we came in. The waitress was also great and was vey excited to tell us what her absolute favorites were so we jumped at the items she talked about. I got the burnt pork butt and brisket ends with Mack and cheese and coleslaw, my wife got a great chicken dinner. Along with a few beer options. Delicious just doesn’t cover how good the meal was!! The best part of all the price! Read the menu so you can see what it cost. You will be amazed. If you are in Mahwah area you got to check this place out!!

There was a group of about 16 of us. We were seated right away. It didn't take long for us to get our food either. I had pizza, I think it was called Pit Master, it had smoked gouda and BBQ meat, it was delicious. Everyone at our table was pleased with their meal. Daphne was amazing, she recommended the apple crisp for dessert and it was delicious. Overall, it was a wonderful experience, I would definitely go back there when I visit NY again.

Fun spot. Find it hilarious they charged for ice in drinks.

Let me just say—everything we ordered was absolutely fantastic! The prices were great, and overall, we had a wonderful experience. We’re already looking forward to coming back. That said, if you're sensitive to noise or active children, just be aware that there were quite a few kids running around during our visit.

Had the Chicken Cajun Salad. Fresh ingredients and great taste 👌 Would definitely come back !

I am so glad we stopped here while traveling home from a trip south. The place smelled delicious from the moment we walked in. Live music and friendly staff. Food was amazing and despite a full restaurant, we didn’t have to wait !

A really good place for fresh homemade BBQ. the ribs are very meaty and almost fall off the bone. A very nice assortment of foods on the menu and from previous visits the pizza is great. Our waiter Billy is a ball of enthusiasm and knows his stuff

Amazing food. We enjoyed everything from sandwiches to barbecue chicken. Hade made reservations and we seated on time. Definitely coming back in the following years with our ramapo college son

We came her from out of town with unsure expectations. We were pleasantly surprised. Not only was the food delicious, but the atmosphere was comfortable and enjoyable. Lindsey, our bartender and server was pleasant, attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

The food is good and the atmosphere was very nice on Saturday evening.
They increased their tip by themselves by 2 dollars though while there is no doubt with the handwriting and it was already an 18% tip, not classy :)

Ordered the smoked wings, which were more like charcoal. Them wings were dryer then a popcorn fart. #notedible Service was very slow. The rest of the food was satisfactory at the best. Won't be back.

Live music, cozy vibes, and BBQ. Everything about this place screams family and friends! I love the colors and the warmth this place provided and how I genuinely felt welcomed by the hostess. The service was fast, until it wasn't.

We sat and were immediately greeted by our waiter who took our drink order (2 waters) and order of Mozerella Triangles. A different server dropped them off. A few minutes later the second waiter dropped them off again. Once we were done a bus boy almost immediately took the empty plate. We sat for a while waiting for our our entrees and continued our conversation until he arrived. We ordered and waited for a while. Once we received our meals at 5:45, it didn't take us long to finish. We waited for our server to return but we didn't see him for almost 30 minutes. We thought about ordering dessert but instead, we opted to just go home. It was unfortunate as we were very excited to try the Apple Crips but we needed to leave. We enjoyed every bite and felt the corm bread could use some butter, but the service made our visit a little annoying.

The live music and the songs they were playing (mostly early 2000s to late 90s music) made the vibes really shine! Just wish we had a more attentive waiter.
