Nonna’s Place Ristorante Italiano

I gave it 5 stars but kind of an incomplete review. My wife and I were with family and our almost 2 year old grandson visiting popcorn park zoo (great place) and stopped here because it was local. We didn't have full dinners just 2 sandwiches and some slices. All were really good. The staff was absolutely wonderful to us. My wife and I plan on coming back for the whole 9 yards with a bottle of wine (yes, they are a byob). A hat tip to Francescos Pizza nearby. We stopped there first, but they are just take out. They were very nice and recommended Nonnas to us. Upstanding.

Can’t write enough good things about Nonna’s. We come here often when we visit my grandmother in Whiting and it continues to hit the spot. Food is out of this world and reasonably priced. Isabella often comes to greet us and chat for a while. You can truly taste the love they have in each dish. We all love the stuffed shrimp dinner as well as excellent eggplant rollatini. Honestly, you can’t go wrong with anything at Nonna’s. One of the hidden gems in the area!

Nice atmosphere, large portions, BYOB. Enjoyable.

Just moved to Whiting a couple days ago had dinner here. Absolutely amazing I would highly recommend this place. The servers are polite. The food is great. The air-conditioning was kicking when it was 93° outside. Definitely give it a try.

I love having the Bamba there they’re always so nice

Im away from home as My loved one just got home from the hospital. It was late in the PM, so I ordered pizza, calamari and garlic knots. The food was delivered earlier than expected. The food was absolutely delicious, cooked perfectly and much better than the other places in town. After a long day, It made me so happy that she had a great meal. To me..good food is a healer that also feeds the soul. Thank you so much for everything and you have earned customers for life. ❤️

This has been the second time that I have been to Nonna's and so far it was just as good as the first time I went over there I enjoyed it very much. I had a Sicilian slice and I had a regular slice. very good

Found this place on a Google search and so glad we did. Took our daughter for her birthday tonight. Food was so fresh and delicious. Serving size was big enough to take home leftovers which we love! Isabella who is the owners daughter was just delightful. Highly recommend and definitely going back soon.

I'm telling you what to get because it's the best I ever had. The cauliflower soup with their rolls. The pasta primavera with angel hair or spaghetti. And the chicken parm with potato and vegetable! You're done! Lol
The chicken parm is nice and thin and they don't glob alot of sauce on it. So you can really taste the delicious breading. The sauce has no oregano in it. Which I love because I hate oregano! I did not like the potato and vegetable.Actually, I love the potato and vegetable itself. But they put, I think they put, oregano on that. And some kind of other spices and I'm not a fan. Just put oil, olive oil and butter and garlic and i'm good. But the vegetables are fresh and tasty.So I can't fault them for that.Because every restaurant is different. Today, 2 friends of mine went there on my recommendation. And they had baked ziti and a pasta primavera special with mushrooms and spinach and they loved it! I'm going back for the lasagna next! Service is always spectacular. The food is always fresh and it's just a great place to have a good dinner.And a great value for your money on top of it! Plus it's family owned and operated, and it doesn't get any better than that! Also I just wanna mention and give a shoutout to the takeout guys.Whenever I order takeout, the order is top notch, fresh, on par and always correct.And the guys serve you with such a nice smile, like you're their first customer of the day and I appreciate that! I come from Hamilton New Jersey just to eat here!

My family was down here from Bergen County and we decided to try out Nonna’s for the first time on a recommendation from good friends. Well, they were spot on about this gem!!! From the extremely friendly staff, timing with the courses and the food was wonderful!!!! We did not feel rushed and our waitress was very polite kind and helpful!! Every staff member was amazing and my family and I truly enjoyed our time there!!! Definitely worth a repeat visit!!!
