Grub Hut Unique BBQ & Mexican Grill

The service was excellent and the portions were huge. My medium well burger was unfortunately very well done, I could taste the charred bits. My plantain pieces were sliced very thick and the coleslaw was a bit too sweet for my taste.

Parking: It was a weekend so there was some street parking outside the restaurant.

Great spot for some Sunday afternoon tacos

Maybe staff does not care about take out orders as much. Ordered OMG buritto with chicken- had no chicken in it and a lot of cheese which was pretty much the only thing you taste in it. I guess its called OMG because of price and disappointment.

I'm here because they keep spam texting me, despite my replying STOP numerous times. I block and report spam and a couple months later I get a text about some deal going on at grub hut. Please fix this.

Had an excellent visit for lunch today at a great small business. The food was hot and delicious. We enjoyed the tostones nachos and lump crab tostadas.

We are excited that they do catering and will be back to try the cheesesteak soon!

Whether you order Mexican food or the BBQ, you can't go wrong. The quality of both is superb!! I'm not in New Jersey often these days, but when I am, I always go to the Grub Hut. Very friendly service too.

I would give 0 stars if that was an option. The drinks had multiple bugs and made for an unpleasant experience. The quality of the food is questionable because of this.

Love this place, will definitely go back for Mexican and/or try the BBQ chicken. Apps are delicious and we liked the guacamole and salsa. The brisket was a little disappointing I'd prefer slices of brisket, theirs is more like a pulled brisket. Tasty but...

Very decent selection of beer and cocktails. Service was top notch, quick and friendly. Laid back atmosphere, I highly recommend you try it.

We love Grub Hut, but it’s a bit of a ride for us so we’re only there a few times a year for special occasions. I would give 4.5 for food but the app doesn’t let me. Had avocado sliders and chicken tortilla soup for appetizers, absolutely delicious. For entrees we had a Mexican combo platter, brisket, baby back ribs, and the chicken tenders. Sides of mac & cheese, fries, and beans and rice were delicious.
I’m not used to ribs where the meat does not fall off the bone, would suggest roasting them (wrapped in foil) For a couple hours to Make them more tender. Hard to eat otherwise. All the other Entrées were outstanding. It was a Saturday night and very busy, we had to wait about half an hour for someone to come back to the table after we finished our meal. Therefore didn’t stay for dessert, even though we were celebrating a birthday. We got a bourbon bread pudding to go, which was outstanding. Like the addition of the cocktail menu. Looking forward to returning for the next special occasion!

So delicious. Please never change or take the coconut shrimp tacos off the menu- best thing I’ve ever eaten!
