It’s midrange Italian food. The sauce on the chicken parm was like out of a can, just tomatoes. Pasta was OK. If it was half the cost I wouldn’t complain but for a $40 plate I expected a bit better.
Ive been going to this place for fifty years. I was ten years old and my mom would give me five bucks for a salad and some garlic bread while she shopped down at acme. Same recipes and consistency every time. My best friend's father was the original Sal. Nothing has changed. Thank you.
The wife had Ceaser salad and the Salmon special. I had the escarole soup, salad, and one of my favs, Rigatoni Sinatra. As usual, everything was fresh and delicious! Service was on point and with a smile. Atmosphere is unremarkable, but very fitting and very comfortable.
