The food was delicious-perfectly seasoned and the sauces were over the top. I had the lobster crepe that was a perfect portion of mushrooms and lobster- and was light, not heavy. My date had the escargots that were garlicky and the portion size was large The pork special and the duck were cooked to the perfect temperature. Both meals were just the right portion size The bonus here is that the restaurant is a BYOB which keeps the cost down. The only downside is that parking is an issue as there is no parking lot or valet service.
Service and food are fantastic. Every single recommendation was as described and they have something for every pallet.
This review is specifically about New Year's Eve. We booked for the convenience of staying local and based on past satisfaction w Bistro, in spite of the daunting prix fixe. My review: skeleton staff was harried and resentful, service was very slow, food was good, though not hot. The fig salad, we were told, would have no figs (tho we arrived at early in the evening); in the end there were figs. Risotto was runny, not creamy. We were surprised there was no coffee/tea offered w dessert. Overall, we understand the limitations of New Year's Eve, but perhaps the price might have been less steep.
The atmosphere is serene and beautiful. Lovely ambiance. Servers were very friendly and attentive. We had a time crunch to get to a show at SOPAC and the staff was very accommodating and pleasant. The food was excellent.

First time going to this restaurant and cannot wait to go again. It was our anniversary and we wanted a quiet cozy spot and we Are very happy with Bistro d'Azur. We were assisted by Juliana who was amazing! We will definitely go back.
We have frequented the restaurant often and love it, but this visit was beyond awful. It took 3 hours and 20 minutes for two of us to have a meal and mostly we had to ask for the things we ordered. My entree was cold. I waited 20 minutes for coffee and when I asked for it the second time, I finally got a lukewarm cup...at best, and was never even offered sweetener or provided a spoon. Basic stuff. Nobody checked on us, they weren't even remotely pleasant - rather they seemed annoyed to be serving anyone. There was clearly something they were struggling with, but at a minimum it might have been nice if they'd actually even bothered to say “sorry, it's been a tough night.” Nothing. Literally nothing. It will be a long time before I consider going back. Such a disappointment.
Birthday celebration that went awry! So disappointed! 45 minute wait for someone to take our order. Asked for water more than once; we were supposed to get champagne - that never arrived. Over an hour between 1st & 2nd course; when dinner arrived the mashed potatoes & sides were ice cold. The waitstaff never even came to check on us during the meal. Not even once! We're unsure if we would recommend this to friends for a Saturday night out.
The food is fantastic every time we eat at this restaurant. it has a calm and pleasant ambiance and it is quiet enough to have a conversation at the table. They just are a little uneven in the pacing of the meal and the timing to be sure all of the dishes arrive to the table at the same time.
Such a cozy restaurant! What makes it extra special is being approached on a personal level, not just another customer and a table they want to turn over as quickly as possible. Here you can dine and enjoy your evening in total relaxation. The music selection is great and adds to the relaxing ambiance. This is an upscale restaurant without the stuffiness.
The food is authentic French. Quality dishes. Chef came to the table, too. From bread to salad to lamb to venison and from chocolate cake to creme brulee, the quality was amazing and the plates are also generous enough. Top service by Massimo.

Never disappoints! The menu is excellent and the quality of the food is outstanding and so is the presentation. This is a very special place indeed! We don't mind traveling 1/2 hour for something this great! All the way around.
Waiter showed up and hurried us and did not greet us or make any type of intro and went strait into taking the orders with his pen and notepad. Arrived at 7:30. Finished two courses at 11:00 pm. No appetizers and no dessert. We assumed that the kitchen was short staffed. The food was excellent but the service and speed was not up to par. The hostess did pass out complimentary champagne to the entire restaurant but we were not really in the mood for it. We had 3 bottles of wine and our table of 4 and were fine with what we brought. We will definitely go back due to the great ambience, food, and location but will watch the reviews and make sure the restaurant management has the staff they need. P.S. there was no steak on the menu which we thought was a little odd.
It’s all good. I can’t wait to go back!

Always great food and service in a relaxed and comfortable atmosphere. Now they have wine offerings, which is a nice addition. A solid and reliable restaurant for modern French cuisine.
