Bistro d’Azur is such a gem. The atmosphere is elegant but still welcoming, and the food is absolutely incredible. Every dish was thoughtfully prepared and full of flavor. You can really see why they’ve been recognized as one of the best French restaurants. Service was warm and attentive, and I loved that it’s BYOB. I’ll definitely be back again soon
The food was delicious. The service and atmosphere were great. The interior of the bistro looks cozy.
I love the vibe here. The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. Definitely recommend trying this place out!
This was legitimately some of the blandest food I’ve ever had. I don’t usually write reviews, but paying 100$ for bland food covered in olive oil is quite frustrating. I’m sure some of their items are okay, but all the ones I tried were seasoned with a little salt and a ridiculous amount of oil. It’s like they didn’t know how to flavor it, so they used oil to mask how boring everything was.
Bistro d’Azur is amazing! From the food to the service to the ambience and everything in between it was exceptional! The cuisine is fresh, delicious and beautifully presented. It was a fabulous dining experience and we cannot wait to go back! While everything we had was an instant favorite, the lobster crepe is fantastic- highly recommend!
BISTRO D' AZUR!!! Honestly, this place is something else. You can tell straight away the chef isn’t just cooking—he’s creating. Every plate that came out looked like a bit of art and tasted even better. Flavours were bold but balanced, portions just right, and you can tell top-quality ingredients are being used. The menu? Pure joy from start to finish. Big shoutout to the staff too—they were on point the whole evening. Friendly without being overbearing, knew the menu inside out, and recommended a wine pairing that worked magic with the mains. You don’t always get service this smooth, but here it just felt effortless, like they actually care if you're having a good time (because they clearly do). The vibe inside is lush—low lighting, calm music, proper relaxed without trying too hard. You could come for a celebration or just a date night out and it would fit either way. Already planning our next visit. If you’re after proper fine dining with a great experience and a night to remember, Bistro d' Azur is the place to go! And you can basically walk 5 minutes from the South Orange Village train station!
What a delight! From the minute we walked through the front doors, the music, the art and the hospitality of the sweet host made us feel like we were in for a treat. Top-notch service and the food was delicious - terrific French food without feeling too heavy. Do not sleep on the soup! The menu changes daily, but give whatever soup is on the menu a try. Served table side in a chic teapot, the layered flavors in our butternut squash soup were perfection. All i can say is if you haven't been to Bistro d'Azur yet, give it a try. If you haven't been lately, this is a sign to put it back on your radar.

Bistro d'Azur is a gem! We've dined here multiple times over the past few years - and have consistently had outstanding food, service, atmosphere and overall experience.
We love inviting friends and family to join us here - to share in our enjoyment of this lovely restaurant. One of the Owners is generally onsite, hosting and ensuring everything is going smoothly. The Waitstaff are superb, often the Chef will come out end of evening to say hello to guests - all of which add to to such a welcoming environment.
We also love the decor - white tablecloth but with a warm Mediterranean flare - with such rich, soothing design, textures and colors (i.e. blues, creams, and soothing patterns). Truly an overall lovely place to enjoy wonderful food and great company.

Highly recommend from food, service to ambiance! Went on a date night with another couple, we shared 3 different appetizers, tried different entrees and had 4 of the desserts and everything was delicious!

The food was incredible (we both agree it was one of the best cooked octopus dishes we've had) and the ambience was upscale and refreshing. We enjoyed everything we had and we loved that it was BYOB! The service for the appetizers and entree was perfect but I have to remove a star because we waited well over an hour to order and receive dessert. My husband and I are quick eaters and we were at this restaurant for over 3 hours, which we both felt was long. Overall we will likely be back but maybe not on a Saturday as the service drastically slowed down as the place filled up.

Delicious delicious delicious food! Very authentic French restaurant. The servers are very kind and the overall service was great. My favorite dishes were the lobster crepe and the lamb chops which I ordered at medium cooked temperature and it was perfect, tender and miit. I will definitely be coming back.
The waiter and the food were the worst. The waiter forgot to place our order so people who came an hour after us were already eating or getting their food. I did ask for a food with no dairy as I can’t have any fresh dairy, but unfortunately our food came about more than an hour late and over that my meat came dry overcooked and the potatoes came raw. My wife’s food came ok and we complained with the manager who by the way came very professional and tried to make things better for me, they prepared a new plate for me and the new one came delicious but unfortunately they probably used butter on the fish and caused a great issue during the whole weekend. I got stomach sick because of the dairy. Manager even gave us free dessert for free, I got dark chocolate dessert which I can have it with no issues but the big damage was done the moment the waiter didn’t do his work as he should. Food is very expensive here and for almost $ 80.00 each, you should expect better food and better service. I don’t think I will comeback here.
