The food is amazing, made me feel like i was eating from my Grandma's kitchen again. The food was all fresh and made to order. The owner is a tiny and very friendly woman who kept us entertained throughout out entire dining experiance. She will remind you of a member of the family. The enterior of the restaurant has a few tables and some counter space for dining. Popular items sell out early so call ahead to see whats still available if your looking for Oxtails, ribs or turkey wings. We end up ordering the salmon and the chicken and shrimp dinners We sampled most of the sides offered the yams, mac and cheese, cabbage and rice with a house made gravy. All sides and entrees were generous portions. The yams were soft and full of flavor but not to sweet. The baked mac and cheese was cheesy and well seasoned. The cabbage had pepers and onions in it and was seasoned perfectly. The rice and gravy was also really good it was made with some kind of cheese gravy. You will have to try it to understand. And the house made bread was really good almost like a piece cornbread with pineapple upside down cake had a baby amd called it Tootsie bread. I will definately be back. But i'm calling first cause they ran out of Peach cobbler and i really wanted some to take home. Lastly cost: I believe I got what I paid for, good quality meal and a unique real experiance with an owner/chef who actually cares about the customer experiance and the legacy of the family members whos recipies she is sharing with the community by way of the meals she has prepared. My only complaint: Is the items i wanted were sold out when i arrived... so i can only imagine how good they had to be if what was left was still extreemly good quailty and full of flavor.

Presentation look awesome .the cabbage had onion and peppers which I was upset and tasted like it had a lemon pepper taste .Mac chesse tasted like i was eating a lot of ricotta cheese.I been here before and had no issue before but today was an bad experience.fast and clean place.worker are amazing and polite.reasonable price

The ONLY Reason I'm leaving a Review is because the Owner Hyped the food up SO MUCH as if EVERYTHING was going to be AMAZING and I'm sorry it just was NOT AT ALL ??♀️. I ordered the Shrimp Bowl and a side of String Beans. 1st the String Beans was TOO Salty and had too much garlic on them for such a Small Portion. 2nd The Shrimp was MID and whatever sauce they added on the Rice was DISGUSTING and that Rice was TOO MUSHY. I can't remember the Last time I had SOGGY Rice ??♀️?. Though the Owner seems Sweet and Genuine, I'll never go back. One and DONE! The Food is OVER PRICED AND UNDER DELIVERED. Sorry!

I’ve eaten inside and ordered delivery. The quality of soulll food at Bradford’s Barr is top notch. The stuffed shrimp, salmon, wings, waffles, tootsie bread, broccoli, mac n cheese, drink and everything is BUSSIN (that’s Ebonics for delicious/ out of this world). The food is great and I honestly can’t wait to invite more people. Also the owner is amazing too! Such a sweetheart. Best American south soul food in New Jersey!

Not your standard “soul food”. The Short Ribs were fall off the bone tender, cabbage was fresh and crispy , yams were delicious ( just cut a little too small). Turkey wings were well seasoned and tender (no gravy/ rice). Again, not your average soul food. Shrimp fettuccine with a bit dry but good flavor (needed more sauce)Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Mac & cheese needed more cheese
