Food was awful. I ordered fish with rice and Mac& cheese. The rice was ok, but the mac & cheese tasted like it was cooked in a pound of garlic. All I tasted was garlic. The same thing with the fish. I didn't taste seasoning, just garlic. I don't think I'll be ordering from this restaurant again.

I’ve eaten inside and ordered delivery. The quality of soulll food at Bradford’s Barr is top notch. The stuffed shrimp, salmon, wings, waffles, tootsie bread, broccoli, mac n cheese, drink and everything is BUSSIN (that’s Ebonics for delicious/ out of this world). The food is great and I honestly can’t wait to invite more people. Also the owner is amazing too! Such a sweetheart. Not your standard “soul food”. The Short Ribs were fall off the bone tender, cabbage was fresh and crispy , yams were delicious ( just cut a little too small). Turkey wings were well seasoned and tender (no gravy/ rice). Again, not your average soul food. Shrimp fettuccine with a bit dry but good flavor (needed more sauce)Shrimp were cooked to perfection. Mac & cheese needed more cheese

The minute you walk in you smell the aroma of amazing cooking in the kitchen. The customer service was phenomenal. The owner is very down to earth and even took a moment to greet me. That is a great example of serving others andthis is proof she loves what she does.... providing food for the soul! My food was very flavorful. It is truly a hidden gem in the Maplewood area. Looking forward to returning for a great dining experience.

I ate at Cornbread next door, which was very nice. Then I walked a few doors down and had to order an entree based on the smell alone. , The food at Bradfords was SLAMM'N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! The peach cobbler will hv you out here doing strange things just for a bite!!!!! The corn bread was also amazing!

Just opened the platter this is what the food look like. Then I proceeded to eat the food and the food is disgusting. I ordered from here 3 times thinking, well maybe they had a bad day . Whoever is cooking this food needs to be fired. Everything is nasty. I live in the neighborhood never again.
I ordered for the first time on New Years Eve, and was not disappointed. I ordered the lobster, steak and shrimp meal. I had one small issue and when I called they handled the situation right away. Very professional. The food was a 10 out of 10 for me. I found a new spot.

I ordered (multiple times ;-) ) turkey wings, mac and cheese, cabbage, collard greens. My momma loves their salmon cakes. I am NEVER EVER disappointed. It tastes like it came right out of my family’s kitchen, made with so much love,always hot and fresh. Any negative reviews I will have to believe, they don't enjoy soul food or most likely wont/cant even cook their own food and if you can cook , go cook and review your own food!!!! a phone call to the business is much less work than typing a negative review for a black business owner in Maplewood. I have no ties to this establishment but these negative reviews really tried to downplay this amazing business.This is a beautiful black owned business with exceptional SERVICE and exceptional FOOD. I would do more than 5 stars, If I could!!! Highly , highly recommended to my TRUE soul food lovers <3

I had brunch here the day after my birthday with about 12 people. Sharonda was so accommodating. She opened up an hour early for us. We were able to use the entire place which was nice. I am not sure if you can do reservations, but read the info listed. I would definitely recommend if you plan to dine in to make sure you can be seated. Our server was Nicky (not sure how she spells it) but she was awesome. She made sure that we were all taken care of. Now the food!!!! OMG! The food was sooooo good. We ordered a little of everything and I being the birthday girl was able to taste a bit of it all. I had the peach cobbler waffles and shrimp and grits. There was chicken and waffles, salad with salmon, salmon shrimp and grits, beef ribs, yams, collard greens, seafood Mac and cheese. Needless to say, whatever you pick it will be good. Those grits though!! You must try. I wish I took more pictures but I was more interested in eating. Lol I will definitely be back!

Here’s the thing, the flavor is mostly there for the food, BUT there’s always something like missing. I got a fish dinner & the fish smelled “fishy” but tasted ok. I got turkey wings and they were dry. No gravy or real juiciness to them, ended up not eating it. This place is cool if you want a step up from fast food, buuuut other than that, it’s just ok. Really really sweet owners though!
