On August 2nd I decided to give this place a try for the first time with my husband. When I walked in I thought this is such a cute spot. We ordered our food with one of the managers Louie who introduce himself to us and upon being given our receipt for the two meals we ordered I noticed it was wrong. We were suppose to be charged $65.25 for two meals instead we were charged $85 and some change. I informed Louie of the error he took the receipt and stated he had no idea how that happened but that he would issue me a refund and then charge me the correct amount. He then gives me a receipt that doesn’t reflect any sort of refund and has a complete different date on it. I again stated this doesn’t seem right he in return tells my husband and I that I will be refunded not to worry and if I’m not to call them. Now I’ve worked as a cashier before and in banking and I knew that the receipt and refund was incorrect. I told my husband this is giving scam and theft vibes and he again told Louie that if this isn’t resolved we would be having issues. Well needless to say it’s been three weeks later and no I haven’t been refunded nor apologized to for this error and theft! I’ve spoken to a countless amount of people been extremely patient and even tried to be understanding but NOBODY has helped nor given my back my money. I had to contact me bank in whom issued me a new card but stated that the restaurant would need to issue me this refund. I’m beyond frustrated at this point more because this is just insane! Stealing from your first time customer is dishonest disgusting and disappointing. While we enjoyed the food, we will NEVER EVER go back to this business! Please be careful out here check your receipts.

Jamiah was our waitress such a sweet and professional young lady. The food A++++ 💯!! Maplewood location. Our Anniversary was celebrated delishouly!!!

Cornbread is good, Macaroni and Cheese good. Fried Whiting, i didn't taste any seasoning. Fish seem old , very thin small pieces not worth the price. Chicken legs good. Manager is a ? mark.

The texture and flavor of the waffle is perfect accompaniment to the crispy fried kitchen. The staff was super kind and the upstairs space is gorgeously renovated. Loved hearing that it’s BYOB - Chef’s kiss, y’all!
