Sadly very poor experience, sir bad in fact that I had to take the Maître’D aside and complain which I have not done in living memory. Fine Dining should be a relaxed and memorable experience. this was memorable for all the wrong reasons. It was obvious that the servers had a schedule and we were required to meet it. As we contemplated the menu over a drink and hors d’oeuvres, we were pressured to order 3 times over a period of twenty minutes. Conversation was interrupted with my Fiancée to a point of annoyance. On her fourth attempt the server told us “This table is booked in 90 minutes so I want to make sure you have your Entree….”, at this point we had been seated around 20 minutes…, Now as the menu is fairly long and we wanted to discuss and enjoy our upcoming meal this was not an acceptable way to move us along. In terms of the food it was average French food. Nothing spectacular and obviously not prepared fresh. I had the Moules an easy dish to cook and they were Luke warm. So in short my suggestion is that unless you want a “ fast food experience “ definitely give this a miss. Terrible service, average food and never to to be repeated.
I love coming to Lorena's - for lunch, brunch or dinner. It's always a good time to come here - the food is amazing! Lorena's has a fantastic menu, with plenty of interesting options sure to please anyone's palate. I generally opt for a salad or their mussels, but today I had a smoked salmon tartine, which melted in my mouth. Served with a side salad, the open-faced sandwich was a rillette of smoked salmon, topped with thinly sliced cucumbers, radish and topped with capers on a toasted sourdough - it was to die for! My lunch partner had their amazing crepe with mushrooms and lump crabmeat. Nice background music fills the restaurant amid the chatter of the patrons. Reservations recommended. Lot parking may be difficult midday in downtown Maplewood, but you can always find spots on side streets. Can't wait to return!
This used to be a very good, perhaps great restaurant. It is now one of the worst. I went for lunch with some friends and was surprised at how bad it was but thought I would try it again with a small family group. It was if possible even worse. The smoked salmon tartine was truly disgraceful. So was the French toast, which was thick but dry. The service was pleasant but very slow. I assume the high rating for the restaurant is a holdover from yesteryear, because there is no way that it is now anything but poor.
Not our first visit to Lorena's - this location and previous...No reservation, walk-in last Sunday afternoon. Comfortable bar seating; cozy atmosphere. Solid pour drinks with terrific appetizer dining. Salmon tartare and the best French Onion soup....finished off with a great Au Poivre Burger...Many thanks....topped off a beautiful weekend.

Excellent food, excellent drinks, great service and beautiful ambiance. We love the seasonal menu and creative food options. The wait staff are very attentive without being smothering. Even the seating was particularly comfortable. Would highly recommend for an upscale date night.
I was there for a baby shower lunch brunch. Everything about this restaurant was a five star the atmosphere ,the music the servers the host. And the food and cocktails were fabulous. Kudos to this fine restaurant.

What is the point of a reservation for a jazz brúnch if you are seated at the table furthest from the musicians. Asked to be reseated was told it wasn't possible, literally there were ten to twenty tables available closer to the music. Couldn't hear or see the band while eating my overpriced breakfast. First time last time.
Good solid food.

They have few vegetarian options that are really good. Service was awesome and atmosphere was pretty lively with live Jazz band. Will definitely visit again.

Had some trouble finding it because the Google Maps positioning was not accurate. Parking was easier to find on the side streets versus the Main Street.
Service in the restaurant was great. The food was pretty good.
The cheese board was a solid choice. The avocado toast was delicious. The steak and eggs were beautifully done. The cocktails were on point.

One of our favorite restaurants in NJ! NYC quality. Great modern French menu. Highly recommend the crepe and the off menu coffee pannacotta
Kid-friendliness: Always very accommodating with our very young children!

I will start by saying I’ve always been a Lorena’s fan. I usually go for dinner but today we went for lunch. They had a two course Prix Fixe. The mushroom bisque was outstanding! The drizzled truffle oil put it over the top. Everyone at our table had it and everyone absolutely loved it. I also had the grilled vegetable burrata sandwich. The vegetables were tender and flavorful and the pesto sauce remarkable. Lorena’s is one of the very few restaurants that never disappoints.

Rare date night with my husband - we missed our reservation but the host was accommodating (and nice about it!) and sat us immediately
The food was excellent. We took our waitress’s recommendation and got the Porkchop and Trout - both were fantastic. Delicious flavors and cooked perfectly. My husband had oysters as well and said they were great!
Out server Amanda was lovely. Attentive and helpful and very good at her job.
We can’t wait to go back

Bucket list food from a non foodie. Mushroom soup and mushroom and crab meat crepe are literally to die for. Then came the lobster risotto. Wow.
