Delivery took over an hour for .5 mile away. The gluten free crust is one of the worst I’ve ever had. The pizza had next to no sauce and a thick layer of cheese. I’ve had better frozen pizzas.

First time I've tried Roman
Had a slice of Sicilian.
It was one of the best Sicilian slices ever.
Light and soft as a feather
You rarely find someone who can make a square slice like that
Can't wait to return

The meatballs have absolutely zero flavor. Some onions garlic whatever you think that might add flavor

I've lived in Maplewood all my life. I am not fond of Roman Gourmet but to support local business every year I order something just to see if it changes. NOPE !!!! The food is still tasteless, not fresh and just all around awful. The prices are great but what's the point of wasting money. They make a huge sub, but it's all bread. I tried but really never again.

They’ve been there forever.
Get the stuffed baked ziti slice and don’t look back.
Vinnie is just the best! Always smiling & his son Lucas is just the sweetest nicest person! Always so helpful! Makes great pizza also!

Had the pleasure of stopping in at the place for lunch. They had a lot of interesting and delicious looking pies. I tried a stuffed philly cheeseteak slice which I have never seen anywhere before and also had a chicken ceaser salad slice and both were awesome. The staff were really friendly and the owner Vinnie is great. He told me how his dad started it in the 70s. Over 50 years there and I can see why. The place got really busy just as I was leaving. Kids had a half day I heard, so tons came in along with some families, but the staff moved really quickly and so did the line. The extra outdoor seating helped. They were ready as I saw them prepping a lot of pies while I ate. Wish I tried the wings, those looked really good too. Highly recommend and the town is really coolas well. Very "Main Street" and nicely decorated for holidays.

Give massive respect for the role in the community and sterling reputation. A great place and great people who work there. However, I find the pizza to be average when compared with other options in the area. Wish I could give a better review given my appreciation for the establishment. Average to good. But not great. Your experience may be better - or maybe I am too bar pie oriented - so give it a try and support the community!
I rarely review without trying a restaurant's food, but this will be the first time that I do.
I went there to pick up pizza between 8:45 - 9 PM through Too Good To Go. I drove 15min to get there in time, but they turned me away because "they ran out of the food." First time I ever ran to this issue with 2Good2GO. You can't possibly tell me that you really ran out of excess pizza in that span of 15 minutes, or you just didn't make enough.

Been coming here for almost a year and got to share our thoughts on the food. We live in Basking Ridge and we travel here for their food because it's just that good. The pizza slices are huge (compared to other places) and they're very tasty and chocked full of whatever you ordered on them. We usually go late weekends for a late dinner or to buy for the next day.
Besides the food if you're lucky to have Malcom at the counter you're in for a great experience! He was there on our first visit and he was great! He explained the different slices available and even made recommendations of what to try first or what... Most places will tell you all is good and push whatever they have left but not Malcom - great customer service! Because of the pizzas and quite frankly Malcom's personality of welcoming and appreciating us as customers we usually go at least once a month if not more.
We've now tried at least 2/3rd of the pizzas and most of them have become favs so we have to resort to alternating our choices. The times that we go and there's no Malcom we're left with the quintessential pizza slingers or worst! For us, Malcom makes the trip worthwhile!
Parking: Located near the train station so ample street parking.
