Yellow Rose Vegan Bakery & Cafe

I was always apprehensive about vegan food because there was “no way” it could not taste fake. I was blown away. The donuts and shortbread were outstanding. The biggest surprise, however, was the breakfast sandwich. Eggs, cheese, and bacon: so good. I cannot wait to go back.

This is the place if you’re vegan, have food allergies, or just want the best baked goods you’ve ever had! I have had severe food allergies my whole life and a couple years back this was the only place I had ever ordered food from. Staff are extremely friendly and helpful. Adorable interior and great atmosphere.

Some favs: vanilla cake bombs, rainbow cookie dough pop tarts, creme brûlée donut, lavender scone, frosted cookie, almond croissant, homer donut, lavender lemonade!

Included some photos from the many times I’ve been. Have savory options too but the treats are 10/10. If you’re stopping by you MUST try the lavender lemonade. So good! Thank you Yellow Rose for being my go-to!!

They make everything fresh every morning. It doesn't matter what you get you will not be disappointed. I am partial to the donuts. I'm not a vegan but I will always support this business.

I really enjoy Yellow Rose. I stop by as often as possible when I come to visit Maplewood. Their coffee is distinct and delicious, enough that we looked into ordering the same beans for home. I also enjoy the vegan breakfast sandwiches and have liked every pastry I’ve tried thus far. A truly exciting option for plant-based folks. Not just “good for vegan“, it’s just regular ol’ delicious.

I really wanted to give this bakery 5 stars but my pork roll, egg and cheese sandwich was just not good! I see people rave about it, so I will try again. Maybe it was an off day. Other baked goods were delicious.

Great food, great service, until you place a pickup order and drive 40 minutes to find out they cancelled your whole order but only refunded you half of your money. And then they spend 30 more minutes trying to figure it out and their only solution is for you to figure it out yourself. No free cheap pastry to make our ridiculous drive worth it as an apology? No they just send you on your way.

Yellow rose bakery is my favorite bakery. I live about 45 minutes away, but their food is worth the trip. They have a creative assortment of items that change out daily. I’ve yet to find anything that I do not like and I can be quite picky. As a vegan, one of the things that I missed most was a true fried donut. Yellow Rose donuts are amazing! I’ve also ordered a few cakes for birthday Celebrations and they were absolutely divine! I believe the establishment has a new owner and staff and I can see the improvement of the quality of the products as well as the friendliness of the staff.

Been hear a handful of times, I really recommend coming they have a good variety of choices to eat, and their coffee is really good. small little space to sit either indoors or outdoors to just relax for a moment. I'm a huge fan of their scones and biscuits!

Delicious and all vegan, with gluten free options- what could be better? Plus, multiple flavors of cinnamon rolls has me convinced this will be a regular in the rotation. The vibe inside is lovely too.

Wheelchair accessibility: There is a small threshold at the front door, maybe rising about 1”, but it is slanted so should be possible to cross while rolling into the store.
