Barrels has changed dramatically. Used to love their soups. Prices are very high and the soup was all HUGE carrots, non existent chicken and low taste.

Grilled chicken cutlet/eggplant parm combo sandwich = BUMPING! I don't like the fact that it's next to a synagogue though, but the giant Christian church across the street makes it a bit better! =)

I've wanted to try Barrel's for a while. Place looks cute and it's BYOB in Margate. My wife and I both had tomato sauce based meals, I had the eggplant parm and she had linguini and meatballs. Neither dish had much flavor. The meatballs were vey soft, we prefer a dense meatball. The eggplant was mushy and tasteless. The real problem was their tomato sauce. It was bitter or sour and left an off-putting aftertaste. I wish I knew what was wrong with the sauce, possibly burnt garlic, I just don't know. On the positive side service was friendly and good. I'm hoping this was just a bad night, I really wanted to like this restaurant but it failed.

We made a reservation and arrived at the appointed time. The hostess asked us if we had a reservation we said yes. They asked if we were the party of 15 and we said no. They then said that they would seat us as soon as there was an available table. The restaurant is small so the reserved table for 15 took up a little under half of the available seating. All of the other tables appeared to be less than halfway done with their meals.I was reminded of the Seinfeld skit in which he reserves a rental car but the agency does not have a car for him when he arrives. Bottom line (if you don't want to search for the video),: we left and went down the street to Boca coal fired grill where we were sat promptly without a reservation and the food was delicious. Also worth noting that Barrels does not serve alcohol. This is fine if you are expecting it and plan ahead. They do allow you to BYOB, but we did not know that ahead of time and arrived from Ocean City ( a dry town) empty handed

Haven't been to Barrels in years. Last time not so good. So we decided to give it another try So this time it's great! There redone and interior and it's beautiful. it's service was really good. My husband had the Veal Cutlet Parm which is probably one of the best but he's never had. The special meatball app with peppers and 3 different cheeses was also really delicious. I had a no carb eggplant Lasagne with spinach on top was a little like stew but It's delicious. It's a small place, but they were pretty packed. I think we'll put it back in rotation.

We did delivery, and everything was fabulous. The meatballs were spectacular, and totally hit the spot. My linguine with sausage and rabbe was perfectly done. My friend loved her ravioli. We will definitely be ordering from them again.

Barrels needs more reviews!! We love ordering from Barrels! We have never dined in, we always order out and usually on a Sunday. For this order, we got the wrong meal and boy was I bummed out!! We were clear with our direction and even repeated the order but somehow the order was incorrect. Aside from this snafu, I would 100% recommend eating the food from Barrels. The portions are large, the quality & flavor delicious and consistent.

Hello, Hello... You're missing out. If you are like me, you may have been driving past this place for years. I will be putting Barrels on my " Must eats list" when in Margate. I hope you feel the same. Very large portion, fresh salads, great appetizers. BYOB, no corking fee. The place is small and very clean. You must try this place, and please let me know what you think. Seating is limited, so call first. I have included some pictures of what we ordered. As always, I do not receive any kind of compensation or discounts for my reviews. My reviews are a reflection of the restaurant or establishment as to the service and treatment

This place is hit or miss. They usually have great takeout and in the past I've had a good meal here. Last night was a different story. The place was packed and only 1 waitress was taking care of the entire restaurant. We sat down and were given water and bread. After about 15 minutes, our waitress came up to greet our table. We asked for wine glasses, and she brought them back but neglected to open our wine/offer an opener. We waited another 15 minutes to get her attention and she acted as if it wasn't a big deal. We saw her a total of maybe 3 times the entire night. I understand places can get busy, but 1 waitress for the entire restaurant is not acceptable. Our food also came out very late and both carbonara pastas were very dry.
