Favorite bar on the Jersey shore. I'm good weather you have an outside or inside option. Sometimes you can take your four legged friends with you during dinning hours.

Went at lunch time. Definitely a local dive bar. Food prices were pretty reasonable for a shore town bar. Beer selection was pretty good with 15 beers on tap. Parking looks like it could be an issue later at night. Has pool tables and a number of tV’s. Food is basic bar food. Bartender was courteous and efficient.

Wait staff were all very nice. You get a lot of good food for the price.Vegetarian options: Could be more vegetarian options. A quesadilla was basically the only option for me. Definitely no vegan options.

It kills me to leave this review, because we generally love Maynard's. I've found that they have decent food at an affordable price, with live music and a cool dive bar vibe. That said, we went for breakfast Sunday morning and it was a total bust. We sat and waited to order drinks. Waited more to order food. I can deal with that; I get it. But waited over an hour for food (simple breakfast items). Were told after 45 mins that the kitchen is backed up. Asked again after another 20 mins. Told they'll check on our order. Nothing. No report back. All around us no one had food. We ended up dropping four bucks on the table for coffee and leaving. Trust me, I would NEVER run out on a check or an order, but we had no choice. Couldn't get anyone's attention. Servers not at fault. If the kitchen is understaffed, then don't seat more than you can handle. As for music, performer (solo acoustic with a reggae feel) was very good, but unfortunately the vocals were just TOO LOUD. Appreciated the effort, but the vibe was ruined. We'll probably give them another shot because we have had good experiences in the past, but this was very disappointing.

Don't let the outside of the building fool you... this establishment has been in business since 1966, and is a legendary business. My first time dining here was in the early 2000s and, for the most part, it has remained relatively unchanged, with a few subtle additions along the way. I usually eat in their outdoor section (known as the Srarlite Garden) during the summer. This is not a bad place to hang out with friends and watch the game. They have all the traditional favorites: wings, burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and bites. There are also a plethora of drink specials year round. A few things to note: it can get busy, especially during peak season during the dinner hour. If you go on trivia night, be sure to get there early or see if you can make reservations in advance, especially if you plan on having a crowd. Also, their website and social media do not post their specials or live entertainment... which, as a local, is kind of a bummer, because that is something you would want to know about. But, that's just me. Overall, I have very little to complain about this place. The only other thing I would say is that the fries should be a tad warmer. Outside of that... it's your typical bar atmosphere with a decent selection of food and drink.

This place is an embarrassment, they let in people under age with duplicate ids of people/fake ids. I knew a person there with a duplicate Id tonight that was underage.

Cute place, very dog friendly! The food wasn't amazing but the atmosphere and service make up for it.

Service and atmosphere were good, servers were really nice and the outside seating was really pretty, but the bathrooms looked like they were straight out of a frathouse and the food was very underwhelming; I ordered the beef street tacos and in my own opinion they were very bland and not well seasoned at all.

Man, I've been coming to this dive bar for 35 years! It's good for what it is - a chill bar - nothing more. Prices have gone up but compared to places around there, pretty standard. There's inside parts and outside parts. The staff still thinks their hot sh**, and they're still just not. Since things never change...
