“My daughter chose this place for a special dinner on our weekend down the shore. It was great! The food and cocktails were delicious and everyone from the owner to the busboy was so sweet, fun, and helpful. We shared an assortment of starters- Thai chili shrimp, crab cake, Brussels sprouts, pistachio ricotta with crostini- and would order everything again. Our server, Brianne, was wonderful. Thank you for a perfect evening!“

“If you're looking for a fancy dining experience with a fancy atmosphere this is not the place. But if you're looking for a delicious meal that's also reasonably priced this is the place. Food is very good. The eating area is shared by a bar so that it could get a little loud. But these are all good. Hard-working local people. No woke here. All good hard-working red blooded Americans. Service is fast and friendly. Definitely recommend this place. Don't be fooled by the outside appearance cuz it's just in a little shopping mall. I'll definitely be coming back.“

“So good! fresh food! I am allergic to shell fish and alot of times stuff get cross contaminated ,not this place!! The food is so good !!! first time there ,this is now my Chinese food restaurant.“

“Our first visit here was enjoyable. The restaurant is conveniently located near the apple-picking orchards and pumpkin patches. The portion sizes were good, and the food was tasty. There was plenty of parking available.

The atmosphere feels more like a pub than a typical restaurant. Drinks are served in plastic cups, and the tables are lined with paper. While there are tables available, none are big enough for a family larger than six, unless you are a group at the bar.

We were surprised to find that a 20% gratuity was automatically applied for our group of five. We didn't see this advertised anywhere on the menu (photos below). It might be helpful to have more staff available, as our waitress seemed stressed and mentioned that the restaurant was very busy when we asked for a drink refill.“

“We originally pulled up to the bar across the street to play pool but it was packed. I took a chance and was pleasantly surprised. I really enjoyed this place. The pool table takes $1 bills, the bar tender was EXCELLENT, the drinks were reasonably priced, the bar pie was good and the outdoor deck has a ton of potential- it overlooks the marina.

I lived here for 30 + years / never knew about this place. Needless to say; I'll be back for sure“

“We always have a great dining experience at Sycamore Grill. It's a small restaurant and sitting is limited during the winter, but they do offer outdoor seating during the rest of the year. Food is delicious. They do seem to change their menu around some times. Loved the Reubens they had, but they are no longer on the menu. Fortunately their French Onion Soup is still on it! I get it every time I go! I really enjoyed the Nachos and the Tuna Tower. The burgers are fantastic too! Our waitress our last visit was so attentive and nice.“

“my husband and I have been coming to mjs for years whether it's for a lunch date or dinner with our kids MJS never disappoints. the food is always on point, no matter what we get it is always delicious. a few top favorites chicken Italiano sandwich, their homemade thousand island dressing for salads is out of this world, french dip is the best i've ever had. ahi tuna app to dye for! if ur lucky enough to get Emma as your server or Bartender you will not be disappointed she is always so personable attentive knows the menu really well and makes a mean expresso martini! she treats our kids like gold and keeps them entertained. Mjs is a well oiled machine run by the best manager I've ever seen. Dyan's attention to detail and making the place feel so welcoming and having everything that comes out of the kitchen on point she makes sure the servers and bartenders are very well trained. if she's there working she is always there greeting the guests and helping the staff make sure every guest has an amazing experience.She will also help you throw a sweet party and works with you to keep the price within your budget while giving you the best bang for your buck. she does an amazing job transforming the dining area into a great party space. I've had my son's christening, baby shower, birthday parties here in the dining room each time Dyan has gone above and beyond making sure everything was perfect. whether you are considering having a party or going to dinner or lunch do not pass MJS in Middletown up you will not regret it. & if you want a fun night out- Monday night bingo is always a hit or looking for something to do during NFL Sunday game day head to mjs it is an amazing atmosphere and great specials!“

“Came here for dinner. The place was packed! Was seated quickly, got one of the last open tables. Had their broiled seafood combo, stuffed scallops, and drunken class. Some of the seafood was overcooked. The clams were like rubber, the broiled plate was okay at best. The stuffed scallops were good. To be fair, I think that they were overwhelmed being the weekend before Thanksgiving. Our server was great but was beyond busy. I do love this place. Brings back memories. I would definitely come back.“

“MJs has several locations and Spotswood is the closest to us. Bartenders are fast and friendly. The wings and the pizza are banging. The best Garlic Parm wings I've had. Always big wings cooked perfect and the right amount of flavor. Pizza is a great bar pie. The burgers are big and juicy. Plenty of TVs $3 Miller Lite drafts. Perfect for a have or a night out with friends.
I wish they would open a spot in Piscataway. I know a perfect location on South Washington avenue.“
