This has been one of my favorite restaurant for many years. The food is consistently good as is the service. However, visited here this past week and saw an update in decor which misses the mark. The tables now have a super big base which takes away from seating comfort. The chairs are old and have very little cushioning and you feel like you sink in and the table is much higher. The large round table have a very nice lazy susan but it is too big and leaves very little room for a dinner plate. Lastly, the restrooms are freezing snd the water is colder than the ice water on the table. If comfort doesn't matter to you, the food is very good and worth the visit.

Have been a satisfied and loyal customer dating back to perhaps their opening in Middletown, and continuing to Marlboro. Today will be my farewell. The dishes were cold, and they had to reheat them - (although they were almost empty). OK - forgivable. The issue: the food quality was awful - every dish - even down to the fried rice. Nothing tasted fresh. Everything seemed reheated. Better food at a hole-in-the-wall take-out joint. The waiter saw that we hardly touched most of our meal - and didn't bother to ask why. I'm done. Farewell (- not really!)

Had lunch here last Wednesday. Waiter did not get my "Combination" order correct and when I complained, he took it back and bought me a plate with 25% of my main dish and 75% white rice. I was very disappointed.

Hit or miss depending on when you go. Quality has dropped drastically from prior years unfortunately.

This is an old reliable Chinese sit down restaurant in the area. Have been dining here since I moved to the area in 1997. That should tell you about its legacy.
Dimsum offered on weekends and holidays.
Set dinner menus available.
Set party menus for a whole table - lauriat style (multiple courses) available as well.

Just went there to get lunch and had to turn leave. The chef and the waiters were on top of a dumpster with their chef clothes on. They were filling the dumpster with dirty disgusting construction material. The health department needs to check this place out.

I ate most of my food before remembering to take photos of all of my dim sum choices. Crown Palace’s dim sum service definitely gives their patrons an authentic Chinatown feel. The steam push carts are full of delicious bites. My family has been going there for dim sum for more than three decades. The har gow ( shrimp dumplings), stuffed eggplants, shiu mi ( pork dumplings), roast pork buns are delish. These are the ultimate Chinese comfort foods. Dim Sum is only served on weekends! Parking is tight.

Went there to eat for Chinese New year. Been going there for a couple of years. this will be my last time. The place was empty for a New year does not like he previous years. had to wait to get in to eat. I can see why. The food was cold, send back to warm it up. Then they rush you out they got their money and get out. While i was eating the waiter started cleaning off the table while I'm not finished eating. Food not worth the money. not good like in the past. Not sure what happen to this place but its heading in the wrong direction

Went for dim sum with the family. Place was Very busy, we were seated around 1:40pm, dim sum ends at 3. The ladies in the front were very nice, but the wait staff was SO VERY RUDE! We were ignored when we’d ask for certain items, or told “they’re coming”, or “we’re out of that come earlier”, literally had some just roll their eyes and walk away it was AWFUL! They were so anxious for us to leave that my son’s plate was taken away while he was holding his fork over it! As well as mine taken still with food on it that I had to take it back off the tray!! It was CLEAR we were not welcome for some reason. I’d say 85% of the guests were Asian, and we are not,🤷‍♀️We’ve been going to the Crown Palace in Middletown for 15 years so we are aware how Dim Sum works and know most of the items. We also order off the menu. We waited 45 minutes for Crab Claws, I think because they forgot even though we asked about them to a few people a few times. We also had to order the Seafood rolls off the menu because we were told they’re not a dim sum item anymore and paid $36 for 3 orders! (They are still a dim sum item BTW)Our check was $225 and we still tipped $50 but it was DEFINITELY NOT the experience we were hoping for. Idk if we would return.

I just spent $80 on the most disappointing Chinese food I’ve ever had. The pan-fried dumplings were undercooked with raw dough inside. The General Tso’s chicken was drowned in an overly sweet syrup, making it taste like sugary chicken. The Kung Pao chicken was bland and completely lacked seasoning. To top it off, the order was supposed to include an egg roll and fried rice, but they were missing from the takeout bag. This was an incredibly frustrating experience, and I won’t be coming back. Some of the worst food I’ve ever had.
