I ordered the special fish. It is $41 on the menu. When I ordered, I also ask what kind of fish I it use. They told me it is sea bass.but when I ready to check out. It said the special fish is $46 instead of $41, as they said the $41 is for another kind of fish, but sea bass. Sea bass requires another $5 additionally. But they didn’t remind me at the beginning, since I particularly asked the fish.

Went to check this place out after being recommended it by family who said it was amazing authentic Chinese food. Got the shrimp dumplings the scallion pancakes and the crushed cucumber appetizers. The cucumbers were amazing but be prepared to reek of garlic after! The scallion pancake was amazingly crisp and flaky and while the shrimp dumplings tasted good, the dough was a little gummy and overwhelming for my taste. The twice cooked pork belly was amazing and super flavorful as well as the garlic eggplant. The mapo tofu definitely had authentic Szechuan peppercorns which leave a unique tingle so be warned it may not be for you, but if you’re into spicy then go for it. All in all, phenomenal food and portion sizes I will be back soon for sure.

The food is very spicy so order mild first! The staff is nice but sometimes it takes awhile for them to get to you. Definitely authentic and very tasty!

I had the pleasure of eating at Chef Zhang’s last night. I have to say if you are looking for authentic Sichuan Chinese food, you have to check this place out. The food was amazing, simple, clean & tasty ?. Overall, the restaurant is clean, the bathrooms were okay and place is comfortable.

My family wanted to have Chinese food for dinner so I had to search for one in the area. Came across this hidden gem. We didn’t want to keep spending our money at the same restaurant all the time. Glad we have some time to venture into this new flavor. The taste is amazing and we order everything spicy. Not your typical corner store or Chinese take out with just white and brown sauce. Food came out fast and plates are huge. We ended up packing lots of food to bring home. The taste is similar to Han Dynasty. I would rather support small business then Franchise spot like PF Chang. Will definitely be back to try other entrees. Highly recommend to come out and try with friends. They have private room too.Parking: Huge store front parking spot.

Chef Zhang's Special Grilled Whole Fish is so tasty, while the Kung Pao chicken stands out as the best in the greater Philadelphia neighborhoods, showcasing the chef's culinary expertise.

At first, I didn't expect much because the restaurant was pretty dead on a Sunday. To my surprise, the food was really good! I had the beef with scallions and onions, cumin lamb and dry mushroom pot. The cumin lamb and mushroom dry pot were delicious and had the perfect amount of heat. The beef with scallions was a tad too salty and heavy on the baking soda but overall not bad. I personally think this restaurant serves better food than other popular Sichuan restaurants in the Philly area. I look forward to coming back to try their other dishes.
