This has been our favorite BBQ place for decades. The food has consistently been top notch and, as always, the service, as exemplified today by Lorena's attentiveness, efficiency and friendliness, has been superb.
I've been going to Big Ed's since 1998 and I haven't been disappointed.I grew up in Matawan and when I visit my grandparents I make it a point to get my all you can eat ribs.I highly recommend Big Ed's to everybody and you will too because it is great.Kid-friendliness: I have 3 daughters and they love Big Ed's.The staff is always friendly

An amazingly friendly environment with great food and a nice southern BBQ atmosphere. The all-you-can-eat ribs are an addicting, one-of-a-kind staple. Staff is extremely helpful and responsive when you communicate with them. Very rare to find such a personable staff. A+ food! A+ atmosphere! A++ service!
