Poke Star Reviews
picked up an order. one issue with placing online order, they auto-add tip, and on mobile, you cant see it, you have to scroll past the place order button. this is just predatory, they make it super annoying to put tip at 0 and place order. also they add a convenience fee (like a dollar or something). everyone is starting to do that but still its ridiculous. next, they forgot the sauce on the bowl, kinda annoying, realized once i got home. could be a one-off. now to the food -...read full review
A new under rated spot that definitely deserves more attention. Pricing could be better but I’ve also seen worse. This place does poke bowls, ramen, onigiri, and sushi burritos. While it doesn’t do any one thing exceptionally well compared to a restaurant that specializes, it does all of those things adequately enough to be worth visiting as a regular spot. Especially if you are passing through on your regular commute.
So good every time! I got the Hawaiian Special poke bowl and it’s one of the best poke bowls I’ve had. The onigiris and ramen are so good too.

Poke Star is a new, underrated spot that deserves more attention. The restaurant serves poke bowls, ramen, onigiri, and sushi burritos. While it may not do any one thing exceptionally well compared to a restaurant that specializes, it does all of those things adequately enough to be worth visiting as a regular spot, especially for those passing through on a regular commute.
The food is super good. The fish is fresh, and they give a decent amount. The price point is fair, around $16 for 2 protein, while most places charge 18-20. The shrimp tempura was some of the best, rich and flavorful with light and crispy breading. The onigiri options, including the spam musubi, were exciting. The poke bowls were so fresh, with protein options like the Hawaiian tuna, the pepper tuna, and the shoyu salmon. The Godzilla roll was a favorite. Taro and Mango bubble tea were so good. The place is clean and cute, with seating available.
However, there are some issues. Online orders auto-add a tip that is hard to see on mobile, and a convenience fee is added. A sauce was forgotten on a bowl. The place looks closed from the front because it is so dark due to window covers, but it is open. The parking lot is behind it. Overall, it is a local gem to support.
