First of all, why aren’t there more people here? My husband and I hadn’t been in this area for years, and we stumbled upon Bangkok Station in the middle of the week. We looked at each other and said, “Let’s give it a try for lunch.” We’re true foodies, never afraid to explore a menu, so of course we ordered a variety of dishes and we were blown away.
When we first walked in, we were warmly greeted by the owner, and her staff was incredibly sweet. Their customer service made us feel instantly at home. Since it was lunchtime, we ordered from both the lunch specials and the regular menu.
Before the food arrived, we asked the owner what style of Thai cooking they specialize in. She explained that their recipes come from the middle region of Thailand, near Chonburi. Central Thai cuisine is known for its beautiful balance of flavors sweet, salty, spicy, and tangy all working together in harmony. The dishes often have aromatic herbs, rich coconut-based sauces, fresh vegetables, and layered spices, creating food that feels both comforting and vibrant. After tasting everything, we understood exactly what she meant. The flavors were bold yet balanced, fragrant without being overwhelming, and incredibly satisfying.
Here’s what we enjoyed:
Lunch Specials
• Pad Khee Mao (Drunken Noodles)
• Spicy Basil Sauce
• Pad Thai
Regular Menu
• Tom Yum Goong
• Masaman Curry
Dessert
• Banana Sticky Rice
Drink
• Thai Iced Tea
Every single dish—not just one—was exceptional. The balance of flavors from the central Thai style truly shines through: the brightness of the herbs, the warmth of the spices, the creaminess of the curries, and the freshness of the vegetables. You can taste the care and tradition in every bite. This restaurant deserves to be known and celebrated, and I’m sharing photos and videos so you can see exactly why.
We even asked if we could meet Chef Patrick to thank him personally, and he kindly came out to greet us. It was such a thoughtful moment and made the experience even more special.
Delicious food, warm hospitality, authentic Thai flavors, and a genuine family feel you simply can’t beat this place. We absolutely cannot wait to return!

I returned again for the drunken noodles and they were delicious again! I don't know who keeps giving these bad reviews but they are just some trolls! This is the best drunken noodles I have ever had! I will be back again!

Came by on a Saturday for lunch at 12 after seeing good reviews and it was completely empty. Interior was nice and staff were friendly, but food for $25 per person was not worth it. We received water in plastic disposable cups, which I’ve never experienced in my life. We ordered pad thai and pineapple fried rice. The pad thai sauce did not fully break down and it tasted clumpy. You could clearly tell the cook rushed the food because the rice was fully broken down even though we were the only ones there. The quality of food was subpar. I do not recommend this place especially on weekends due to high costs and poor quality of food.

Ordered from here through uber eats. Pad Thai is super fishy and pot sticker is just okay but they didn’t send any dipping sauce. Pretty underwhelming for $60 for pad Thai and pot stickers.

Bangkok Station is a gem of a Thai restaurant in Maywood, NJ that I'm so glad to have come across. It's a cozy and unassuming place with a friendly staff at the front, backed by a talented chef.
As someone who grew up in Jackson Heights, Queens, and later lived in NYC for 15 years, I thought that I would never come across good Thai food in NJ that hasn't been dumbed down & made insipid to McD's-level of spiciness. This place breaks that mold, and I'm glad for it.

Bangkok Station sits across the Maywood Station Museum, with parking right in front of the restaurant on the street. Patrick and the team take a lot of pride in their work. This place and the food have a home style feel to it. Fresh veggies are used, and this restaurant remains one of the healthier dining out options when it comes to local Thai food or just local in general. I can recommend the Pad Thai Chicken, all of their curries, and the Ginger Chicken.
