The whicker basket has exceeded my expectations since the new owner, Alexa, took over! We love her and all of the employees, including Maureen and Sierra, they make us feel so welcomed! Their breakfast sandwiches are to die for!

Been going to the Wicker Basket for some time. My favorite sandwich is the Fat Kitty hot roast beef , it’s amazing!! The new owners are awesome and extremely friendly. Love all the new changes to the place and everything in now homemade at the deli which tastes so much better. Highly recommend the Wicker! Keep up the fantastic food !!

been going to wicker for 20 years, it’s a classic spot with phenomenal food. i was so stunned to walk in yesterday to find the most egregious and ugly mural painted on the wall that originally had a charming wicker basket/sandwich decal and the classic menus. not to mention, there was horrific pop country music blasting over the speakers. what once was a charming NJ deli has now turned into a fight to be hip and different to set apart the new owners from the original owners. so disappointed that the atmosphere is entirely different in a negative way that i felt compelled to leave a review. wicker was never broke - why did you feel the need to ‘fix’ it? such a shame. at least the food still tastes relatively the same as that would be the only thing to have me come back. you might as well go to the angry egg if you want the original wicker feel with the original owners. this pains me to write a poor review for arguably my favorite deli in all of NJ. just sad.

We live in Chester and Wicker Basket is our go to deli for breakfast and lunch.
The sandwiches and subs are excellent, and the prices cannot be beat.
Staff is attentive and service is fast. They also make the menu interesting with daily specials.
Had the Italian Hot Dog this week and it was delicious. My son got his usual 2 sausage, egg, and cheese on a roll. He always loves it.

We were waiting outside at 3 becuase we knew it closes at 3:30, but the door got locked in our faces and we were waiting outside knocking just to figure out what was going on for 10 minutes while the staff were staring at us for that entire time not even having the human decency to come outside and tell us they were closed EARLY keep that in mind. Also, people were still ordering inside while we were waiting in the rain just trying to figure out what was happening. And when they finally came out we were met with some of the worst attitude I have ever experienced. We did not do or say anything out of pocket and were respectful about it and all we got hit with was disrespect and a lack of care from the owner. Used to come almost every day, will never be coming back.

My mom Mary and I have been coming here for 40 years it seems , Seafood salad sandwich on a hard roll was our treat for the day ! I was always extra good that day just knowing we were going! Every time I'm back in town (now that I've moved 2000 miles away!) seafood salad is on the top of my TO DO LIST , now I take it to St Jospeh's and have a picnic with Mom RIP (and Dad and Grands ) ❤️?? MEMORIES THAT MAKE YOU SMILE AND WARM YOU HEART! The WICKER BASKET IS JUST THAT! ❤️
