I've never been to a place like this - a place that perfectly captures the vibe of sitting on your friend's porch with a beer. The brews are tasty - my Mexican lager went down smoother than any beer I've ever had. The atmosphere is awesome, with very attentive, kind, memorable, and friendly staff, the regulars are all great folks, and the outdoor seating right in the heart of comfy and quiet Merchantville is a perfect venue to sit and sip.

I'm playing to my tastes, but my judgement of the beers are based on what I like; in this beer room it's the EPA IPA, Citra IPA and Russian imperial, which were all really good. Some of the lighter and fruity beers, which are usually outside on my wheelhouse anyway, I found a little lacking, but the people I was with liked those. Most of the heavier beers we're really enjoyable. Oh, and thier shandy was surprisingly good too... I say surprisingly because I don't like shandys. So why five stars? Besides the fact that the types of beer I like we're really well done, the owner/brewer (sorry, I forgot his name, I've been drinking...) is so obviously passionate about his craft. This is really the epitome of a microbrew. Its really micro. The brewer still calls them his homebrews and considers this an extension of his home, and it feels like it. They're hospitable and approachable and not only will they make time for any question you can think up, I think they enjoy doing so. The beer room is not hipster or trendy (i mean that in a good way) in any way. It's small and comfortable and homely. If your a fan of microbrews and beer in general, you need to visit and support Eclipse.

Honestly love your bartender Laura was amazing…there was a brewer(or someone who works here) or something interrupting her mid sentence answering customers questions to deliver a beer the brewer(or someone who works here) poured. But honestly keep Laura she was so sweet and nice and was great at customer service!!!! Helped guide me to find the beer that fit me and worked nonstop while making fun conversations with customers.
So much variety!! The lemon basil seltzer is a big hit!!

When asking for a pepsi for our kid, we were condensendidly reminded it was a brewery. Haha...of course we knew...we had a designated driver and this was our 4th one on the way back to New York from Virginia. Our excitment was ruined by the welcoming we received. We sure will not recommend the poor hospitality.Couldnt even enjoy the flights after the rudeness of the bar tender and the stares from a woman on the side of the bar. Beer pretzels were all they had to offer. Good for the college crowd but not the more mature.
