Using up the last of our coupons that we won from the Super bowl commercials, we were able to get a couple of bowls here. The bulls were good, and delicious, but not quite as good or delicious as other locations we've been to however. I also did not like the chips. They were more chewy than crispy and a couple of them had, what seemed like, spots of flavoring rather than a sprinkling of seasoning across the chip. Also many of the tables needed cleaning. In fact we had to wipe down our own table to sit down at a clean one.
That could be related to not enough employees, because compared to other Chipotle locations, they have about 75% less than other locations.
Overall it's a decent enough location, but when compared to other Chipotles it's not as good.

DO NOT go to the Chipotle in Metuchen, NJ. Honestly after dealing with what occurred tonight, I would say be very careful about going to ANY Chipotle because their customer service is TERRIBLE. We got take out this evening, and in one of our bowls there was a 1 inch piece of metal that my family member nearly swallowed. It was sharp enough to stab her gum. Since you can’t get in touch with the actual store, I called corporate and spoke to 3 different representatives since 5:45. I have yet to receive a call about anything being done for this. I asked if they could shut the store down until someone figured out the source of the metal, as it could have been my son or any child who ingested it. We are not talking about a piece of someone’s hair, or a dead bug. We are talking about a sharp piece of metal. Please be careful where and who you give your business to, as these large franchises do NOT have your safety in mind. Please spread the word, as this could have been our children eating this meal. See photo below. Can you imagine swallowing that?

This place certainly has the best employee wellness program because staff was on her phone all the time. As for food safety and being respectful, she doesn’t care since she was too busy enjoying her phone time with friends.

Quality of food is so bad and rice is uncooked. We ordered chipotle bowl for my kids , the rice is completely uncooked and it’s not safe for the kids to eat, we throwed it in the garbage .

What a poorly managed restaurant. They ran out of salsa for in-store customers and wouldn’t take it out of the online section 6 feet away for my order. What a joke. On principle will never eat at that store again.

Workers were rude, rice was super undercooked and chicken was really hard. The entire restaurant was covered in trash and there were no tables to sit at cause they all had food bits or spilled drinks all over them

I placed my order online said it would be ready by 11am and wanted me to leave a tip for them putting my order together. I got the new honey chicken burrito it was good cold but good. I had to wait another 10 mins after my pick up time. A walk in customer received her food before me. While getting g my soda one of the employees came over and started wiping down the counter just about pushing me the customer out-of-the-way so he can finish wiping down the counter. Listen folks long story short first time and last time I will visit the Metuchen New Jersey chipotle oh one last thing I got a large bag of chips and the white cheese dipping sauce, and a dipping sauce was placed in the bag upside down as you could tell by the pictures, the burrito I ordered should’ve just been put into a bowl instead of trying to wrap it very novice people working at the store in my eyes will never return.
I’m so disappointed with the attention, they don’t even have patience the place is dirty, the tables are very dirty

Just today we went... as we are out and late for dinner .. ... after we entered to restrt..... they were cleaning but the way thy clean on food containers was open n falling all stuff inside in between to make more clean he brough steel scrub with soap and clean by containers ...omg after seeing how we can hav food🤮taught better to strave be hungry is better so better dnt encourage this kinda unhygenic places...... hope they maintain in upcoming...... days 🙃

I visited this Chipotle location 1 hour before closing and was very disappointed with the cleanliness and food handling. The workers were cleaning the countertop with soap water and a steel scrub while still preparing food. I noticed that food that had fallen on the counter was placed back into bowls and at the same time, they were still fulfilling to-go orders. I left the place immediately without ordering any food.

Waited almost 40 mins to order. There’s only few people in the line but the staff is too slow. Only one person is doing all orders but the rest of the staff is just smiling and roaming all around. Worst staff ever seen.
