This is where I went to get my first drink! This bar is the only bar I know of in the area that has Kronenbourg 1664 Blanc, which is in my opinion the best damn wheat beer in the world. It literally tastes angelic, if you haven't had it yet in highly recommended.
The happy hour is immaculate too bubble and squeak for 5 bucks feels like a ploy to fatten me up! Highly recommend!

Ok food and ok service. Just don't go on karaoke night. Waited outside for over 2 hours. Host forgot about us in the cold weather. UPDATE: I have not revisited since this review first went up. It is now 2025 and I'm still happy with my choice never to go back.

My favourite pub. The atmosphere is great, the staff are so friendly, and the food is excellent. Great drink selection, with plenty of entertainment (lots of live music and trivia). It has a real community feel to it too. Highly recommend!

The veggie stew was the WORST I ever had.Escarole, onions and tiny pcs of carrot. Runny, soupy not thick like a stew. No potato? You mean an Irish pub doesn't know how to make a stew. Real disappointment!

I love this bar. It is smoke-free and family-friendly, and it's only a short walk away from the Metuchen train station. They have a very good corned beef sandwich and a wonderful staff lineup. Just a few drawbacks, though. The restrooms are very run down. They should be using automatic toilets and hand dryers, and there's no TouchTunes jukebox either. Real bummer.
