We had a lovely evening. The restaurant had two parties going on inside so we sat outside where it was quiet. We all got salads and an entree. Everyone loved their entrees. The service was very good.

We attended a private anniversary dinner for some friends. We were greeted immediately upon arriving a d escorted upstairs where the space was reserved. The Metuchen Inn, boasts an elegant atmosphere. There was fireplace upstairs that added to a nice and intimate experience. The staff were attentive and did an exceptional job with catering to and engaging with us. The food was cooked perfectly, and the drinks were amazing. We would definitely recommend the Metuchen Inn, and return.

Really nice dining experience. No rushing or pressure. Everything was delicious. Price was $240 including tip for 2 people - 1 drink, 1 app, entree and dessert/coffee each, so not cheap, but doable for a special occasion.

I ordered the Black Sea bass special. It was fishy and sour. This place tends to cook meat better than seafood. I ordered an appetizer, their octopus, because the fish was sour and not fresh.
I paid a lot for rotten fish.

I was disappointed that I requested outdoors and when we arrived they just seated us inside. Also on my reservation I noted occasion Anniversary and they did not acknowledge it in any way. These were both options when I made my reservation.
Becoming a new favorite! Everything has been perfect in each visit. Looking forward to hosting my Event here next month!

We love coming here for special occasions! The food is prepared to perfection! The staff is friendly and attentive! It's a little pricey for just running out for a bite to eat, but totally worth it for a special occasion. The only downside is that it can get quite noisy when they have a full house. I think this is because there's no carpeting to absorb the sound. However we love it so much that we can overlook it! I would definitely recommend giving Metuchen Inn a try!

Staff was kind to offer us, complementary champagne, festively, decorated dessert plate, and lots of congratulations on our celebration. In addition, the chef went out of his way to create a vegan salad and meal for me , which was absolutely delicious. Thanks for a great evening.
