Here’s some advice. If you know that Christmas Day is a busy day, why wouldn’t you bring some extra help? BE PROACTIVE. I was here for Christmas 2 years ago and waited nearly two hours. Today (Christmas 2025) I order takeout 45 minutes before I showed up and still waited another 45 minutes all while watching people walk out who have also been complaining of waiting for hours. Your food is good. There’s NO reason why this should happen when you know it’s like this on Christmas. If you’re overwhelmed, stop taking orders. All you’re doing is pissing people off. DO BETTER!

My wife and I are up from Florida visiting Family. We love Chinese Food but after a month on the road we haven’t found a good place until TODAY. I googled best Chinese places to eat and this restaurant came up. I can tell you Google was right. The Egg Rolls were super. I had the Special House Lo Mein which was done to perfection and my wife had the Szechuan Chicken which was nice and Spicy which she loved. The staff are really friendly and kind. The food is okay; some dishes are better than others. I wish there was more spice to some dishes than sweetness. Would recommend for takeout.
Stopped by Pink Lotus Cantonese Restaurant in Metuchen around 10 PM when not many other places were open, so the location was definitely convenient—right next to lots of shops. The space is nice with good seating and a clean, comfortable setup. Priced ok .
Tried the stir-fried chili tofu, brown rice, and noodles. The noodles were the best part—flavorful and well-cooked. Unfortunately, the tofu was quite average with not much taste, and the brown rice was a bit too dry for our liking. Parking is tough around this place .. paid parking mostly .
Overall, a decent late-night option if you're nearby, but the flavors could use a boost.
Great food! Try the beef chow fun and Singapore noodles. Delicious! A great private first date place.

The best Chinese restaurant I have had since moving to New Jersey. Everything was delicious and fresh. We will most definitely be back to eat and pick up again. The ladies working there are all so friendly and welcoming and accommodating to some of our requests to modify ingredients.
