This is hands down the best restaurant in NJ right now. The 8 course tasting menu is phenomenal, each dish balanced with unique flavors and texture, and beautiful plated. Our server explained each dish in detail, was extremely knowledgeable of the ingredients and dishes, and very friendly. He consistently topped off our drinks as needed and meticulously provided a new place setting for each course. The ambiance was very relaxing as we sat on the 2nd floor, with beautiful hip, modern decor. I was particularly intrigued by the faucet in the bathroom which was very unique. The overall attention to detail from the concept and design to the food and service is what sets it apart. Fine dining at its best with a relaxed atmosphere that easily compares to a Michelin star restaurant.
Free on site parking is available and it is a BYOB. A liquor store is conveniently located next door in case you forget to bring your libations.

Finally got a chance to try Ram and Rooster and all I can say is what a fantastic surprise! Make no mistake this place is for fine dining and foodies! Chef Sean did not disappoint on the full experience which was different from anything our group has ever experienced! The entire experience exceeded our expectations! The place is modern and cozy, but upscale at the same time. Mary was our server and she took the entire experience to the next level. She was fun and engaging, while attentive and informative. The kind of service you would expect at this level! If you enjoy The Bear on HBO this is your kinda place! All we can say is " Yessss Chef! "

Amazing food. We were sat at the ‘bar’ facing the chef. It was pretty awkward as we were not even recognized by the kitchen but sat with them for hours. It was our anniversary so we were really looking forward to a more intimate setting. We thought they sat us at the bar for a special something but it was pretty much just awkward. There were plenty of tables not sure why we sat there. Friends of ours were there coincidentally and they were given a choice. Anyhow. Food was great. Would not return it’s just too pricey for what it is.

We enjoyed the tasting menu dinner at Ram & Rooster enormously. Chef Sean has created a modern twist of traditional Chinese dishes. The dishes are a perfect creation of flavor, texture, and color that collects traditional Chinese dish elements yet surprises with Japanese and European ingredients and styles. It’s not a small price and we weren’t sure what to expect at the beginning, but we walked out with big smiles on our faces after a 9 course feast of delicacy fused with imagination.

I stumbled upon Ram & Rooster by chance, and I'm so glad I did!
Making reservations was a breeze, and from the moment we checked in, the host was welcoming. Our server, Mary, was exceptional! She took the time to explain all the variations of each dish to accommodate my lactose-intolerant partner (? love you, Toots!). Our water and wine glasses were always full, and her attentiveness struck the perfect balance—just enough without being overbearing.
The food was outstanding! Our favorites included the crudo, honey shrimp toast (I could eat this all day), scallop tempura, sea bass, roast duck, A5 wagyu, and both desserts were ?.
It's a BYOB spot, and though we forgot our wine, no worries—there’s a fantastic wine and liquor shop right next door that stays open pretty late.
Dietary restrictions: Accommodated my partner who is lactose and allium intolerant.
Parking: Fantastic liquor store next door that had a great wine selection. Definitely a must check out before or after dinner.

Fantastic meal! Hospitable, friendly, down to earth service. No pretentiousness here. Can’t wait to come back for the fall menu! Favorites tonight included the tempura Japanese scallops, the “sauce” broth with that dish was addictive with incredible depth. The scallops were perfectly cooked and tender with a crispy tempura skin. I could’ve had 5 of these alone! The sweet corn dumplings were just sublime. I split them open one by one and allowed the broth to flow into the creamy center before devouring the lusciously sweet salty combo. I could go through each phenomenally executed dish but will leave something to the imagination. Expect a James Beard Award in the future for this young, creative and talented chef. ?? thanks for a wonderful night.
