If I could rate this place a 0, I would!

Did mobile order and as we got closer to the window…My drink was literally placed outside on an extremely windy day!!!! By the time I grabbed it, it had dust and dirt in it. When we asked for the drinks to be remade, we were met with attitude, eye-rolling, and nasty remarks. The lady told me to go all the way back through the drive thru, which I agreed to, but when I walked inside instead, it was clear she planned to hand me the exact same drink. She even stared me down from the drive-thru window while I explained the situation to another employee who barely said two words to me.

This location is unprofessional and unhygienic. If you want a clean drink and basic respect, skip this Starbucks entirely.

The staff here always seem miserable and it’s very slow. It’s like they never have enough people working. Truly a poor experience unless you have nowhere to be and don’t care about being smiled at.

Very disappointing experience at this Starbucks. The girl at the drive-thru was extremely rude and talked to me with an attitude just because I came to pick up my order three minutes after placing it. There was no reason for her to be disrespectful or unprofessional everyone has bad days, but that’s not an excuse to treat customers that way. Definitely not the kind of service you expect from Starbucks.

Worst Starbucks! Ever!! The drive through takes at least 15-×0 mins. Don't even go here. Go to the one on Route 27. I heard the same with service inside

My first time at this location. Everything was great, but the staff! Walked in and said good morning. They looked at me with complete silence. Im a big tipper and they lost their tip!

It’s better to call corporate for any issues you have, as you won’t be easily dismissed. Please close this Starbucks in Metuchen and please visit small businesses in the local area(I.e.Cai’s)

The low ratings here are deserved. I’ve come here a few times and had to ask my drink to be made again bc it was too light/ too dark.

Today I placed a mobile order for
Drive through pickup. I figured I didn’t need to tell them at the order window bc it was already ordered and pickup time was 5 mins. When I got to the window, a woman with a mask on told me I had to tell her I was here at the ordering place and I needed to drive back around and come back to the drive through later when the order is ready. It was early
Morning so I just said ok but once I got out, I couldn’t go back in the drive through area so I had to park and go inside. When I went inside my order was ready. So she just made me drive in a loop and then go inside for nothing. There were no cars behind me so it was not like I was holding up a huge line. She could have just given me my order at the drive through without making me drive around and go inside. Awful service.

The service is SOOOO BAD !!!! The whole point of the drive thru is quick service the service is super slow ! The staff is nice but they have you waiting sooooo long !

I’m disappointed at how my wife and son were treated here by an employee named Ashley. Ashley was rude to my wife and son. I do not understand why would anyone behave like that ?When questioned politely, she became defensive and even tried to hide her name to avoid accountability. This was deeply upsetting for my wife, ruined our visit, and left my son confused. No one should ever be treated this way. Management, please take this seriously and don’t drop your standards like the taste of your coffee.

I regularly visit this place and did not have any issue until today when I had a very unpleasant experience at this coffee shop, and I feel compelled to share it. One of the employees, Ashley, was incredibly rude, not just to me, but shockingly, to my 4-year-old son.
My son was standing near the juice stand, simply looking at the drinks, may have touched a juice or two and Ashley told him to “go away” and find his mom. He wasn’t causing any disturbance, just being curious, as any child would be. When I calmly questioned her about this rude behavior, instead of showing any empathy or professionalism, she defensively called for her manager.
What’s worse is that I had already paid for the drinks he had touched, and even left one behind due to how upsetting the interaction was. The entire situation completely ruined my mood. It was disappointing to see an employee treat a young child so harshly, especially in a place where families come to enjoy a quiet moment.
To top it off, Ashley even removed her employee card and asked her coworkers not to reveal her name, clearly aware that her behavior was out of line and fearing a complaint. That level of unaccountability speaks volumes.
I hope management takes this seriously. No one, especially a child, deserves to be treated that way. Don’t be like her. Be kind.

Great place to study/work. I prefer this Starbucks over the others. Also very friendly staff.

I lost my keys and someone was very nice to bring it to the front. Wanted to say thank you to that nice person as well as the staff for being super friendly!!!
