What an awesome find! I was driving by and hit up the jug handle to try this place. So clean, which is super important to me. The bartender, Amanda was so nice! I submitted an order two different tacos (3 of each protein). There were full of lots of meat! Sometimes I need 10 to 15 tacos because they're sad but these were filled! I highly recommend the lomo saltado tacos! Full amazing bar as well. Great draft options. The people next to me had a queso dip. I must try when I return. Looks delicious and a good sized portion. I highly recommend this spot for watching games as well. They have big TVs everywhere.

Food is tasteless. Chicken is dry. Big chain Mexican is magnitudes better. Empty lunch crowd with three servers who preferred standing around talking to each other than to serve. The only upside is the place is nicely decorated.

Went to Casa Calaveras for the first time and it was excellent! The food was great I got the quesadillas and the Crunchwrap and both of them were delicious. I also got a few drinks and the bartender Justin was awesome. This is a great place for good food and great drinks, definitely check it out!

Second 2025 Update: No longer dog friendly on the outside patio. We were aggressively told about this policy and that we’re no longer welcome. Happy to take our business elsewhere!
2025 Update: After a half dozen visits, everything here has become just average at best. Food is now bland, drinks unremarkable and service is neglectful. Not really worth a visit anymore. Definitely management in crisis, nobody seems to care.
Original Review After Opening: Everything was so great! Chips, guac and salsa came out super fast. Cocktails were excellent— we ordered the Mango Mezcalita, Prickly Pear Marg and the Pineapple Express. Tacos, rice and beans were all delicious. Our server Julia was really friendly, terrific service. Would love to see some vegan options on the menu. Beautiful restaurant. Definitely coming back!

This is just what Middletown needed. A great restaurant where we can watch a game, go to happy hour, meet for apps or drinks before and after high school games. Fun atmosphere, and great service. A great addition to Middletown.
This place has become my go to when in town for drinks & food. Super spacious the vibe is open & fresh, casual with a touch of classy. Empanadas, tacos of the week (chorizo) and there was that Birria thing that was amazing. Flavors were vibrant, textures exactly balancing the juiciness of the meats. Ended all of this with a chocolate dessert that took way up there. Thanks guys for an amazing lunch! See you soon! Great service! Crushing it!
