Burger was tough,over done,..fries were cold & chips,..omg,the pickle was soggy..won't ever go back,..asked for napkins twice,..didn't happen..

Breakfast was stupidly bad. "Waitress" had to make 2 trips to serve 4 plates. Each order had something wrong. Told the person at the register on the way out after the compulsory "How was everything?" I told her, she said, "I'll let them know.". Last time for me. There's plenty of other places to go to . It’s breakfast for God's sake. How can you screw that up? Hundred bucks down the tubes.

Missed the early bird dinner special (3 pm - 5 pm) by 15 minutes so ended up getting breakfast. Was ok...nothing special. Will try next time to leave earlier to try the early bird dinners.
What can I say? This is a classic NJ diner. We haven't been to New Monmouth Diner in about 10 years. We decided to go for lunch this past Saturday. It was packed when we got there and thought we'd have to wait too long. Surprisingly, we got a table in under 10 minutes. Our server was great and the food was excellent. The soups, salads and burgers were all really good. We'll definitely go back.

six of us were nearby at a sports tournament and this place was close. We love a good diner as most native New Jersey residents do. We have never been here before and decided to give it a try. It was late Saturday afternoon and walked right in and were seated. The menu is expansive like most diners but seemed missing some key items. We started with onion ring appetizer. They looked good and were pretty big. after first bites it was clear they were some frozen rings and not very tasty. Everyone had a couple and a few were left and never eaten before we left. I had a cheeseburger with disco fries Was really looking forward to the disco fries. The cheeseburger had some sort of melted grated cheese that was unrecognizable. The burger itself was clearly a frozen hockey puck to start and was way overcooked. much better burgers at Burger King or Wendys. The Greek salad was a joke and the only thing that made it Greek was the dressing. A salad with chicken strips was very large. The chicken again clearly frozen hockey pucks. No dressing was served with the salad. The restaurant was now very busy and difficult to get our server back for refills and salad dressing. After asking for dressing she brought out a very small amount for a large salad. The regular fries that came were the best thing we had. Nobody ate everything in our group and nobody wanted to take home the rest. I would not go here again for any reason. Read any of my other reviews and you will know I write mostly great reviews. I am a foodie and enjoy a good dining experience. This dining experience was not a good one. I would not return here for any reason.
