Went on a prix fix night, $40/person. The "tiramisu" was delicious but not really tiramisu; it was ice cream. The lasagna was tasty. The salad -- romaine with a bit of slivered cheese and some sort of dressing was -- ok, ate maybe a 1/10 of it.
Seating was "family style" side by side with other groups. Hey, they were nice, interesting people. All good.
BYOB so down the street to the local wine store. Got lucky on a good Beaujolais.
Service -- occasional. As I like it.

I wish I had more free time to have all of my meals there
Especially with friends and family

Great place for dinner! We had a reservation for Friday and enjoyed the spaghetti & lasagna. My husband and I both really liked the lasagna. The staff were above and beyond from the moment we were entered until we left - very attentive, knowledgeable, and professional. We particularly enjoyed the atmosphere, the family style dinner and the conversation with our dinner mates.
Would definitely recommend!

Wonderful atmosphere. Food served for Friday is very simple and yummy - though not special. Portions are generous. Brewed coffee should be included in all-inclusive price. Will go again.

I highly recommend Canal House Station. The food is wonderfully prepared, the service is perfect and the space is beautiful. We have been here multiple times and always have a great experience.

Incredible dining experience; we ate in the cafe and saw a lot of action. The kitchen was hopping, and the staff was excellent. Our meal was delicious and fresh. the veggies in season, and the cod perfectly served with an herb dressing and green beans. I always enjoy going to the Canal House for a unique experience.

Every course from start to finish was perfect. The staff was very attentive and professional. The arrangements of yellow gladioli and fennel were beautiful. I do not eat meat so I was happy that the September menus had a lot of fish. All the dishes were beautifully presented, perfectly cooked, with very fresh ingredients.

What a gem! We had Sunday dinner which was a gorgeous prix fixe four course. The location was great. Decor was so cool - who knew mattress springs could look amazing as art? Service was attentive and relaxed, you set the pace. And my favorite thing, that you almost never get in fine dining, BYOB! Love that every Sunday is a different menu and will come back for Friday spaghetti dinner soon! Come hungry and take your time, this place is wonderful.

An amazing experience whether dining with friends or for a special event with a large group (a wedding party & a friend’s 70th). Each occasion…about 5 in all were special. The attention to detail, the ingredients, the melding of flavors…leave me transfixed.

An amazing dining experience!

Do not come to this restaurant for a special occasion, or if you expect competent and effective front of house. We've been here a few times for special occasions, and after getting totally screwed out of a special 20th wedding anniversary reservation we reserved, will never go back.

I called Friday night and made a reservation for a Sunday dinner at 5pm. The person asked if it was a special occasion, I said yes and explained. She took my number so they could call and confirm. After not receiving a call, Sunday afternoon I called and left a message. We arrived on time and were told they did not have a reservation for us in the system.

The hostess said they were full and could not accommodate us. I asked her to find the person I spoke to, and that she would be able to confirm it. She went and checked the system and said our reservation did not exist, sorry. I stood there embarrassed with a bottle of expensive wine I brought specifically for our occasion, unsure what to do next.

With such an incompetent, ineffective person who seemed unable and unwilling to make it right, I left and went to a local restaurant that was able to immediate accommodate us, where the service is great, and the food is consistently better.

We are former returning customers who were trying to build loyalty, who will never be coming back to Canal House Station again. This is no way to treat loyal patrons!

Took advantage of date night with husband on Friday. Caesar salad, garlic bread, spaghetti bolognese, and tiramisu ice cream for just $40! BYO wine and you can't get better than this!

I've been following the owners for some time and an opportunity arose to stop at the restaurant. We had a wonderful dinner, the food was amazing and the atmosphere was cozy and beautiful (being a former train station). I hope another opportunity arises!

The food was exceptional. Our cold cucumber melon soup very memorable. Likewise with the pork loin and the meringue and crème dessert. At the canal house it's not that something you have had before is well prepared, it's that it's startlingly sublime - etched in your flavor memory- unique.
