One of our go-to restaurants when we are in Milburn before attending the Papermill Theater. Park at the Papermill, then an easy walk to and from the restaurant. We have been doing this for many, many years.
After the show, we had dinner at Basilico in Milburne, a restaurant we highly recommend. We have immense respect for this exceptional establishment. The welcoming smile upon arrival creates a soothing atmosphere, and our server's friendly greeting upon seating adds to the warm ambiance. As our server expertly opens our wine and presents the day's specials, we appreciate the exceptional service, lack of rush, and the culinary experience, which showcases the chef's passion and delights our palates.
Basilico is always a great experience. The staff is wonderful. The food always fresh and delicious.
Basilico's is the place to be for great Italian food in Millburn, NJ. The quality of the food is amazing and the portions are quite satisfying. You will not be disappointed.
We enjoyed our dinner last night at Basilico, food was amazing and the service was superb. The fillet mignon was incredibly tender and cooked to perfection, one of our friends tried the squid ink pasta and that was also quite delicious. Basilico is one of our favorite restaurants and we highly recommend it, if you are looking for a nice restaurant with great food at a reasonable price.
We decided to try Basilico during Millburn's Restaurant Week since they offered a nice menu. We were very impressed with the delicious food, excellent service, and lovely ambiance. My husband had the Fettuccine Alfredo while I had the Cod Oreganato over spinach risotto. My fish was cooked perfectly and was outstanding. We both started with Ceasar salads which were very good. Even the complimentary bread was great. We were too full to enjoy desserts. We will definitely return!
Our food was delicious! Gnocchi with truffle sauce was the best I've had! ( But $60 for an appetizer was expensive!) should have been a lot less. Over all the food was perfect an delicious 😋
We were disappointed. We have been going to Basilico for about 15 years and always enjoyed it. The lettuce in the salad was old. The tomato sauce was too vinegar ish. And the prices have gone out the roof. $42.00 for a piece of fish? Not cool. Sad.
Excellent menu and service. Very good ability to meet dietary restrictions. BYOB. Lots of low-cost parking in township parking lots (free after 6PM and on Sundays). Highly recommended.
We dine here regularly:this has been once of our favorite places to dine since Basilico's first opened: A tasty diverse menu, great service and reasonable prices. We'll be back in about a month.

Dined here with a moderately large party.
My experience here has reaffirmed my belief that the service industry is dead. The servers were grumpy. Not one smiled, or was happy to attend to us. I had to on multiple occasions point out to them to clear the table, even then, they’ll pick up the bread, but not the butter. Fill up one glass with water, but not the other.
It wasn’t even busy that night, there was only one other table. the waiter saw struggling to take a selfie with the group, but did not come over to offer a picture. When we asked the waiter to take a picture, he was obviously not happy about it.
I can give you long list of examples, but I hope you get the point. Why are you guys so miserable at work?
but they don’t hesitate at all to slap on a 20% gratuity. Such underwhelming service. I hope the owner reads this. I Will not host another event here.
Ps
I would’ve given a five star had the service been good.

Great service and solid food selection. I did not really explore the menu on my visit. I coveted spinach lasagna on a Saturday evening and it was the closest restaurant to offer it. My lasagna was good but not excellent. Maybe my view was jaded by just returning from Italy which isn’t fair to any Italian restaurant in the states. The prices were a bit high especially for pasta and appetizers but at least it is a BYOB. We sat in the back closed courtyard but the main dining room as you enter has the best atmosphere in my humble opinion.

The food from start to finish was delicious! We sat outside on an enclosed patio which was so relaxing. It was our anniversary so they came out with a candle to celebrate! It was a great place to enjoy a night out.
