“I have not had the opportunity to have dinner there yet, but have had lunch on three different occasions prior to going to the Paper Mill Playhouse up the street. The restaurant has a great atmosphere and great food and customer service. Restaurant has several booths and tables which gives you privacy if you choose to do so, or you could go to the bar side where there are some large TVs for watching your favorite sport as you dine. We will continue to go there when I’m in the area.”

“My friends and I have season tickets at the Papermill and always go to the Carriage House for dinner before the show. It is a cozy little place and they do not rush you at all. It is so much better to sit and enjoy a cup of tea after dinner and not have to rush into the theatre. Giovanna has been our waitress many times and is so wonderful and makes you feel like you are the only diners she is waiting on. On this visit I had the parsip and chestnut soup, roasted chicken and coconut snowball. In past I have had the short ribs, pork chop as well as the duck and all have been fabulous. The chef takes pride in his food and always comes out to ensure everyone is happy. I can't wait until the next show and dinner.”

“Do not patronize this restaurant . I had a $14.00 balance of a gift card that we spent $126.00 on NewYears Eve. $14.00 balance. After ordering a sandwich I was told that the card was invalid. Are you kidding? Do you think I gave you a invalid card? Is it worth losing 2 customers and all the people we know telling them what kind of fools you are? Is it worth it? Keep your sandwich. Dummies. Did I mention the owner used profanity towards us? Shame on you sir.”

“Great diner and great food. The place was empty but that’s cause it was a Sunday at 3 pm after the rush.

The food was excellent. Got the 2 eggs platter and they recommend the buffalo wings which were the perfectly blend of tang and saucy.
Everything was well seasoned and they provided home made whipped butter which I thought was a nice touch.

Staff was amazing. There was a playoff game on and being the only customer there we were all into it

“First time here. Nice little deli/diner. Tables and counter seating inside, a couple of tables outside. Ordered a Taylor ham, egg and cheese to go so I could eat al fresco in the park across the street. Very happy with the sandwich.”

The food is fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented – you can tell they use quality ingredients. The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure you feel welcome and taken care of. “Took my girlfriend here the atmosphere was very welcoming and scenic, we both ordered the filet mignon and it came out delicious perfectly cooked the way I asked, also ordered their guacamole which was absolutely the best I've ever had they have their own original take on it. “I get poke here after all my afternoon hikes and it’s definitely one of the best in NJ. Ingredients taste fresh and the portions are fair and filling. Theres so many different combinations. You get up to 2 protein, 5 topping, 3 crunchy toppings, and 2 sauce. Everying else is a bit extra. Really yummy and I’ll continue to eat here”
