“Excellent food and outstanding staff. Our server was Jen and she couldn’t have been nicer. My nephew, Max Clayton, is performing in White Christmas at the Papermill. We were a group of 10 from NH looking for a place for dinner before the show. Max raved about the food at the Millburn Standard and recommended we go there. The staff was friendly, very accommodating to our large party (we did call for reservations, but they don’t take them) and the food was excellent (get the nachos!) They were just as nice when we came back after the play just to sit and have drinks. I feel like they went out of their way to accommodate us and we are all most appreciative. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️“

“We have eaten at the new Carriage House a few times since it recently opened, and have been impressed overall. The food has been consistently good, and the Carriage House is quite lovely. We have tried chicken, fish, and pasta entrees and have enjoyed them all. The overall service is good, but as with most restaurants, they have some very seasoned staff who are excellent, along with some relatively new staff who will benefit from more experience. It is an excellent choice before or after a performance at the Paper Mill. We hope they continue service when the Paper Mill is not offering performances.“

“My family frequently orders breakfast delivery from Oscars. Their food is delicious with generous portions and delivery is always quick. Our favorites are the French toast, omelettes and Taylor ham cheese and egg sandwich. Their French toast is especially yummy. Better than any other breakfast place I’ve tried. I’ve also ordered lunch, and our favorites are the chicken fingers and turkey burger. The chicken fingers are large and juicy. Their wings are also good.“

Every dish we ordered was absolutely delicious, and as someone with celiac disease, I was so impressed by their extensive gluten-free options. It's refreshing to find a restaurant where I had so many great choices and felt confident ordering. The Fire Roasted Hanger Steak was cooked perfectly—tender, flavorful, and beautifully seasoned. The Grilled Pork Flatiron was another standout, served with haricot verts, bacon lardon, watermelon radish, and apricot mostarda that added the perfect combination of savory and sweet. The food, service, and atmosphere were all outstanding. If you're looking for a great meal in the Millburn area—especially if you need gluten-free options—MoonShine is absolutely worth a visit. We can't wait to come back!“

“Delicious food. Great service by Sydney! It started with amazing honey bread at the table. Flatbreads yum, especially the one with fig topping. Muscles, tuna tartare, noodle flush, brussel sprouts, calamari salad, and more! All yum! Would absolutely go there again. We had 8-10 people and the service was excellent.“

“Highly recommend! We had our wedding at Galloping Hill Golf Course in the summer of 2025. The day was everything we could have hoped for and everything went so smooth! We worked with Emily throughout the process and she was great to communicate with. Any questions were answered right away. We wanted a venue that had both inside and outdoor options and loved that it had a covered patio for use all night. Ellis was our day of coordinator and both of our bridal attendants made the day run so smooth. Our guests loved cocktail hour and dinner. There was a great amount of food we went with the seafood station, pasta, Brazilian, and Chinese. We also did the breakfast sandwiches to go for the end of the night! The golf course made great photo backgrounds as well. We had the best time and would do it all over again if we could!“

“New Providence Bar and Kitchen was the perfect place for my wife and I to celebrate our anniversary. We came for lunch and immediately the staff made us feel very welcome. The menu, from the drinks to the entrees, put a fun spin on familiar dishes—just enough to be unique without deviating too much from traditional favorites. The calamari appetizer with chili peppers and capers was the best I’ve ever had— flavors were amazing. The Parmesan-crusted salmon was also tasty and my wife loved her meal too. Seafood Linguine in Garlic Sauce, steamed clams, mussels, grilled salmon, and lobster tails with crabmeat stuffing (seasonal). If you don't see something on the menu that piques your interest, just ask your server if they can prepare it for you. With an assorted buffet menu and a live band, our members had a memorable evening in the private room of Tavern 73. The cash bar was very busy, and people raved about the food as they left this 4-hour event. Special thanks to Kaya and Gail for the excellent job they did to help to organize and execute this event. “Listen!!!!!!! I’m one of the biggest critics when it comes to food, and I’m usually the first person to jump online and give a bad review when something isn’t right. HOWEVER… D&J Country Cooking is absolutely AMAZING. 💯 I was a little disappointed that they don’t offer dine-in, because I would’ve loved to enjoy my food hot at a table. Instead, I ended up eating it in my car. But let me tell you — it was still worth it. I ordered the fish, yams, and mac & cheese… and it was incredible. Everything was seasoned perfectly and tasted like real home cooking. When I walked in, I was welcomed by a very kind elderly woman who greeted me with eye contact, a warm attitude, and great recommendations. She was sweet, helpful, and really made me feel comfortable about trying the food. It was a true example of Southern hospitality. I’m giving this spot 9 stars. It would’ve been a full 10 if they had dine-in seating, because the food is so good it deserves to be enjoyed fresh at a table. Hopefully they consider adding a sit-down option in the future because it would really take the experience to another level. I’ll definitely be back. “Decided to stop in after a tour visit to Montclair University and receiving a gift card for Christmas. Everything was delicious. We ordered brisket fries,cheese fries, smash patty melt, Montclair Blue Burger, build your own burger and 3 shakes. Everything was amazing including the burger buns (fluffy and airy). I wish they were closer to us, Old Bridge could definitely use a really good burger place.“

They have lobster, steak, fish such as chillean sea bass, salmon, fresh rainbow trout. They also have great salads and entrees. Service was nice too. Reasonably priced given the taste, setting and fresh ingredients. Easy to access from route 10. Recommend a visit!“
