“I was impressed with this restaurant, we enjoyed the food as well as the ambiance and service. I came for a business lunch. Ate inside the porch area that was enclosed. I thought the service was very good in terms of attentiveness. The food we got was flat bread pizza for appetizer, pepperoni with hot honey was delicious. The burger tasted great cooked perfectly when I ordered a medium, presentation was nice as I ordered a salad instead of French fries. Most importantly they had Aqua Pana for water. I did think the prices were a bit inflated and expensive however their service made up for it.“
“Good was great! I had the sweet potato nachos. Different than anything I have had before but I'll be coming here again on my next travel through Newark. Thank you to Elma who provided the best service! She made sure I had quick service and enjoyed my meal!“
“Amazing from start to finish. From the warm welcome, amazing bartenders and courteous, attentive service the hospitality was impeccable. The owner is visible on site and engaged in creating a fabulous evening for his guests. We felt special spending our anniversary at summit house. The new menu is focused, creative and sublimely delicious. Truly unique and left us planning our next visit before we left the table.“
“We stopped Summit NJ to pick up a Ski jacket I purchased on FB on the way to Vermont. By chance I walked into Zappia's and ordered a Ruben for the road. I got in my car and started driving and my 16yo (who does not like any food I like) asked what was in the bag. I told her it was a Ruben. She promptly devoured 1/2 of it and informed that it was "the best sandwich ever". I ate the other half and it was by far the best Ruben I have had in eons! It was so good we opted to go over an hour and 1/2 out of our way on the way home 3 days later to get two more. It's was worth the trip. If you live in Summit you're lucky to have a Deli like this one near you. The people were very friendly and the food was fantastic. Thank you Zappia's!“
“I love eating at The Committed Pig when I come out towards Summit. The food is delicious and well cooked, and the waitresses are attentive, and kind. Kelee, especially, is an amazing server. If you are out this way, this place is a must-try!“
“Went back to Fin after not having been there in a while. I’m happy to see it’s still as good as always. The oysters (1/2 price on Tuesday) were fresh and the freshly grated horseradish and the frozen mignionette were perfect accompaniments. The spicy cannoli tuna appetizers were outstanding. Entrees of wood-fire grilled orange roughy over escarole/beans and grilled jumbo shrimp over pineapple-mango rice did not disappoint! Our server , Melina, was extremely attentive and professional. Love that it’s BYO.Parking: Parking deck directly behind restaurant. Free after 6:00 pm and on Sundays. Nominal fee otherwise“
“Nothing fancy here. Just good Greek diner food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is friendly and prompt. Wonderful pancakes with good crispy bacon. Home fries and pea soup are especially very good. Everything is made fresh each day - potatoes are peeled in the kitchen for mashed and the vegetables and meats are all prepared daily in their kitchen. The diner is family owned and the family is always there. It's a Summit staple and hopefully will continue to stay for many more years. And, oh yes, you can purchase liter bottles of imported Greek olive oil made by the owner's brother back in Greece. I only buy my virgin oil there. Two bottles at a time. You can return to refill your bottle (s) as needed.“
“A nice casual place with decent food. Nothing special but we wanted to try a new restaurant. I wouldn't rush back but we had a nice relaxing dinner. Chicken Parm was good, the meatball appetizer was okay. It's a limited menu but they also have a specials menu. Their pizza looked good and steak frites were a hit. It's more expensive than it should be but not unreasonable. The atmosphere is good and overall their service was good.“
“Food came relatively quickly and we got the calamari for appetizers, best calamari I have had in a while. My daughter got a cheeseburger and so did my husband. My daughter asked for lettuce and bacon, but when she got it there were tomatoes on it, my husband also had tomatoes on his, and he is allergic to them. A little disappointed with that. French fries were good though.“
“No frills, throwback diner. Both in the ambience and the prices, which seem frozen in the early 2000s. Cash only, often with a line this is a local institution that's worth visiting if you enjoy crab benedict. Our little ones also like the French toast.“
