“Went here with my husband while traveling. Fast service and good food. Pricing was what was expected. We both decided on a pretty standard breakfast with great sausage. They do a hard scramble so just be aware when ordering. The desserts look amazing. Very cute atmosphere overall.“
“Nothing fancy here. Just good Greek diner food. They are only open for breakfast and lunch. The service is friendly and prompt. Wonderful pancakes with good crispy bacon. Home fries and pea soup are especially very good. Everything is made fresh each day - potatoes are peeled in the kitchen for mashed and the vegetables and meats are all prepared daily in their kitchen. The diner is family owned and the family is always there. It's a Summit staple and hopefully will continue to stay for many more years. And, oh yes, you can purchase liter bottles of imported Greek olive oil made by the owner's brother back in Greece. I only buy my virgin oil there. Two bottles at a time. You can return to refill your bottle (s) as needed.“
“If you like pancakes this is a MUST TRY!!!! There are so many options to choice from even stuffed pancakes ? The food was absolutely delicious ? and our waiter was awesome‼️ What are yall waiting for go pull up and give them a try you will not be disappointed ?“
“This diner's service is always great. I think there is so much to choose from it can be intimidating. When it was time to pay the check, I noticed their new pay system had already added a 15% tip to the bill. I think tipping should ALWAYS be the discretion of the patron. Because my server was great, I didn't have a problem paying the 15%. I wonder if her tip is shared. FYI, you can change the tip amount at the register, but ya'll need to pay attention.Food at this diner is always yummy. The staff is great and at my visit they were on top of everything. There is someone ready to clear your plate if you're done. Our server was attentive. Making sure if we needed anything else during our meal.Kid-friendliness: They have paper placemats for kids to doodle while waiting for their meal.“
“All you could ask for in a diner. Good food at a good price with a good staff. Never had a problem with this place and I've been going with my family since I was a kid. It was renovated recently fixing the sole problem I used to have with it being a little sad looking. But now it looks great on the inside.“
“Caldwell diner is wonderful. I have ordered takeout several times now and have always been extremely pleased. I love that when I call to place an order I always get a friendly voice on the other end of the phone - they are SO polite and courteous. The food is delicious and you can tell it is prepared and packaged with care. We have had the Italian panini, veggie and beef burgers, chicken fingers, garden Salad with grilled chicken, and the chicken salad club so far. I am hoping they add matzo ball soup to the menu in the future. Apparently the owners have two other establishments - Tavern 292 in Fairfield and another Tavern 73 in Pine Brook but I haven't had a chance to try them out yet. Anyway, highly recommend!!!“
“Park Wood Diner is the first restaurant my family visited when we started fencing in Maplewood. They have expanded their hours over the last year, which makes it incredibly convenient to pick up sandwiches for dinner after practice. We also eat here with friends on weekends, and the breakfast combination platter of pancakes, bacon, eggs and home fries is extremely popular.Vegetarian options: There are vegetarian options on the extremely large menuDietary restrictions: You can find a variety of options to fit different diets.Parking: There is a free parking lot around the corner from the main entrance.Kid-friendliness: Very, very kid friendly. There are large booths and a variety of seating areas.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp from the parking lot into the diner.“
“I had a great breakfast in this tiny little diner. The staff was very friendly particularly the owner, John. The cheese scrambled eggs were perfectly done as were the peppers and onions home fries, and the sausage links were very good quality. They are generous with the butter on the toast.“
“Wonderful service, outstanding food! It was either the Manager or Owner was super friendly: We ordered DoorDash and had a small issue with the delivery, the lady went out of her way to make things right when we called. My son AJ had a competition in the nearby area, and it was perfect for a quick dinner or snack! The interior, food, and service was excellent!! We definitely plan on returning.- Monica + AJ“
“First time coming here since remodel. The new atmosphere and remodel is amazing. I love the new set up and everything. However the service wasn’t that good, our waiter barely came to the table to check on us and forgot about some of our food. The food wasn’t entirely bad, it was flavorful but a little dry.“
“I just want to say reviews did not disappoint! This was my first time but definitely not my last. You feel welcome as soon as you walk through the doors, food is fresh and absolutely delicious & the staff is on point. Yum yum yum thank you!“
“The food is always good and not salty! Plus you get plenty to eat for the price. The atmosphere is always warm with families and different cultures, and management is very friendly.Dietary restrictions: If you have high blood pressure the food is not salty at all.Wheelchair accessibility: My mom walks with a walker and they have three wheelchair accessible spots right near the front door.“
“Typical Diner, waitstaff were very attentive, food came out fast and was very good, reasonably priced. This is our new favorite Diner. Been here about 10 times in the last 5 months.Parking: Plenty of room in their parking lot.Wheelchair accessibility: There is a wheelchair ramp on the west side entrance of the diner.“
“While the food is very good, the service always spot on, very nice sized portions, and priced right, for me the main feature is the diner itself! It's like stepping back in time; diners like this are becoming more rare to find, and I'm glad this old girl is still holding up!Parking: Parking can b a bit difficult during peak hours because the place does good business. Go a little before traditional lunch or breakfast hours and you should be ok.“
“Great place for breakfast/brunch. Very busy every time I've been but worth the wait. They have a bar you can seat yourself if there is a spot and parking is a nightmare but they do have overflow parking a short walk away. It's an adorable place reminiscent of Alice in Wonderland type decor. The staff is friendly and service is pretty prompt even when hopping. My daughter has had the cheese blintzes and I've had the Arepa Benedict and the Godfather omelet. Everything is always delicious. They have lunch and dinner type selections also and serve cocktails after 12 noon. It has fast become my go to stop on my way back to PA from NYC. Be patient, be kind and you won't be disappointed. Even the landscape is whimsical with statues of children playing hidden all around the castle like building.“
“The Waverly is the definition of no frills. Menu on the wall, servers also cook, and booths as hard as church pews. However the food is good and it comes quickly. And for heavens don’t say a Taylor Roll is like Canadian bacon, not if you want to get out of New Jersey alive. Now my regular breakfast stop in Madison NJ“
“The waitress got our order perfect the first time. The food was excellent. It was decorated inside like an old diner with the formica table countertop stools and the pictures of the buses up on the wall brought back a lot of cool memories. This place is definitely on my A list. The blackboard specials change from day-to-day the prime rib was awesome.Parking: Large parking lot“
“I brought my fiance to this diner and we had a great time. The waitress was so nice and our food was perfectly made (see pictures).Vegetarian options: I did not order a vegetarian meal, but there are salads and other options available. They were able to add/remove anything upon request too.Kid-friendliness: As you would expect of other diners in the area, this one is also kid friendly.Parking: Parking lot in the back of restaurantWheelchair accessibility: Yes, but only from the front entranceThe back enterance has stairs.Dietary restrictions: They can add/remove upon request.“
“I had the patty melt that was absolutely delicious and disco fries that were perfect! The carrot cake I have for dessert was almost perfect, maybe just a little more icing than I would have preferred. Our server was perfect although I waited too long to write this to remember her name unfortunately sorry.“
“I visit this place about once a month. The staff is friendly it gives a kind of homely ambience. The food is good I haven't had a complaint yet the prices are ok I feel like they may b a tad bit too much but with inflation in mind it's very reasonable. Nice size portions especially if you eat in.“
“Def one of the best gyros I’ve had. I got the Greek fire gyro. Very good and huge. My only complaint which I never said anything was I had the matzo ball soup and there was egg shell in the matzo ball. It was gross. Hate that. Need to pay attention back there. Also pricey.“
“Hadn't been here in over 10 years but I was meeting someone special and decided to go back to the Prestige. The waiter was prompt and cordial. The fix was really good and plated well. They were courteous and thanked us. Very good and the prices were better than most.“
“Busy place. Variety of options. Great serviceParking: Limited free parking is available on site. On a weekend, the next best option would be to park in the Millburn train station parking lot, which is less than 5 min away by walk. As a last option, one can choose to pay and park in the parking garage, diagonally across the diner.“
“I’m a lifelong Vicki’s customer and I absolutely love this diner. But on DoorDash the price for a side of fries is $12 which is absolutely insane. I feel like the prices in person and online for this diner keep increasing and I was always fine with it because I support small businesses and the pandemic was hard but small stuff like soup and fries should not be over $10. If that’s the case, I can’t keep eating here. Diners are supposed to be pretty cheap and now we spent over $30 a person for lunch.“
“Family owned and operated diner. Clean and quiet with very good atmosphere. As per usual NJ diners, you can find the regular fare like French Dip and Gyros. Always good to 'Disco' the fries (melted cheese and gravy). For a Sunday, it was a bit slow.“
“Arrived for a little breakfast for our first time.Nice speedy service with standard customer service. Has a nice home-y vibe yet Diner style.Tried Stacks of Oreo Pancakes ? and man they were delicious ?Had a side of Bacon strips? and Buttered Toasted Bread ?The food was of quality and service was speedy. Definitely recommend this for a quick Breakfast bite, and will be happy to return to try more of the menu.“
“Loved it!My brother prefers Denny's over IHOP, and he treated us allI hadn't been to Denny's since Circuit City was a booming business in Emeryville, CA.Thoroughly enjoyed my buttermilk pancakes, sliced ham, and the sausage was not your average sausage! It makes other sausages bland. Had a little kick, and a lot of flavor!Eggs tasted like eggs used to taste like.Buttermilk were really buttermilk pancakes, texture and flavor from old school, long ago. If I didn't mention the warmed syrup AND butter, forgive me! To! Die! For!Our waitress was WONDERFUL! Been there a while. As a former waitress, I always tip more than 20%, when we are treated very well, and I did!The atmosphere was very enjoyable. Slow, not crowded. Very family oriented. No wild child children - very respectful children.Enjoy, and please don't forget to tip your waitstaff. Times are harder and soon, they too will be replaced by robots, as some restaurants have already begun using robots to deliver food to the tables ?Vegetarian options: My brother eats primarily vegetarian meals, but with fish and egg whites. This is why he prefers Denny'sParking: Wasn't crowded. Enough parking when we visited.Wheelchair accessibility: Mother's in a wheelchair but we pulled her in her rolling walker instead.“
“A standard NJ diner experience! We enjoyed our abundant, tasty salads. The waitress was very accommodating; she helped us change to a more comfortable table. They also offer quality rye bread that we can't get in Massachusetts as well as gigantic and yummy linzer tarts!Parking: Conveniently located off of route 10.“
“We arrived around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. We were the only customers so there was parking on the street and plenty of parking in the back lot. Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it.The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. We each ordered the lunch special that consisted of 2 Texas weiners (with everything on it), fries, and a can of soda at a decent price of $12. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and the texas weiners were great! The atmosphere was quiet during the time we went, making it slightly awkward while we were eating, but the experience was great nonetheless. We will definitely come here again!“
“We came to this spot for lunch. This spot was recommended to us by a friend. Well, it was very nice. The crew were very polite and we had a great feeling. The food was just great. We enjoyed every moment and we shall absolutely come back again. Keep it up.“
“Very delicious food, good portion sizes. I got a Mediterranean omelette with gyro meat, hashbrowns and french toast. The staff was very friendly & the place was clean! I went for breakfast during the week, the crowd was mostly lively seniors.“
“Very pleasant team working there. My server was very kind, polite, and kept my drink filled. I had the turkey club triple decker with fries, which was really good. The fries were perfectly crisp. I would recommend you take a visit if you're hungry.“
“Morristown diner brought a delicious meal to me and my daughter. The eggs and the hashbrowns were cooked perfectly and very delicious. Corn beef hash out of this world and the fried zucchini with. Tomato sauce was outstanding I want more fried zucchini! Our server was quick and attentive. He had a great memory didn't even have to write anything down. I highly recommend this restaurant if I lived local I would order for pick up breakfast luncheon dinner.“
“Food was good for the price. My husband had the bison burger, and I had the pastrami panini (except pita bread was used which I thought was odd) - both decent portion. Our waiter only checked on us once. It was busy on a Sunday. It was understandable so I gave him a good tip anyway. The ambiance is like any other diner. :) We will most likely go back in the future.“
“The service was GREAT! And the appetizers were FANTASTIC, also the serving size, like WOW! ? It's alot. However the particular dish I got for my main meal wasn't that great to me, I kinda feel bad giving it 4 stars in the food department because everything else's was great soooo, probably that particular dish wasn't good I'm sure the others on the menu was great, it looked great lol (I got the Perch)“
“Good diner disguised as a local town restaurant. Service was excellent. Food was delivered quickly. We order eggs and grits, waffle and chicken and Cuban panini. The chicken with waffles tasted fine but the chicken did not look appealing. Grits were tasty and buttery. We will return.“
“Love this place. Food is great, service is nice, place is clean and cozy. Love their poached eggs with hollandaise sauce, pancakes, bacon, sausage…..I want to try everything on their menu. Sometimes can be quite busy, other times, it’s slower, but I’ve always gotten good service. Can’t wait to take my kids here.“
“Located in the quaint town of Madison, NJ. We had a party of 3.Food: Disco fries were good, but have had better. More gravy would have made them excellent. We had them as an appetizer ($8.25 for a large). We had Alpine chicken sandwich, turkey sloppy Joe, and a BLT. All were good with a sizable portion. Classic diner food with a broad menu.Service: service was attentive and polite, however, nothing over the top.Atmosphere: clean seating area with booths, tables, and counter service. Bathrooms were clean too, to me “clean bathrooms “ say something about the kitchen cleanliness ?♂️.Summary: great place to have a business meeting or lunch with a friend. Sits in downtown Madison, so you can walk around town and check out all the small shops.Parking: Parking available in the rear of building“
“I have been here a couple times in the last year. On a weeknight you can always get a big spacious booth. It is great for conversation, the acoustics are good. Omelettes are usually my go to, as I love them for dinner. Tonight I had a Gyro dinner platter and it was tasty. Good bargain if you go with the specials. The service was good, waiter kept checking with us.“
“There was plenty of parking in the rear of the plaza even during lunch hours. Drinks and food were served promptly and food was fantastic. The atmosphere was nice, we were able to have full conversations even with so many guests. The only problem with our lunch was that when we “appeared” to be done eating the bussers (3 men) came without asking and took everything off the table and even went as far as wiping and setting the table for new guests.“
“I recently came here with my family and our server Kelly was so kind and personable. It was our first time and as a picky eater, she recommended a dish that would suit my appetite. This place was very friendly and good food for a good price! Def recommend!“
“This place is definitely worth a visit. The decor is vintage, but not antique... like 80s era. The service is fast and friendly and was also vintage :-)We went for breakfast on New Year's Day, so maybe it wasn't the best representation of the place, but I'll definitely be going back (and will update my review accordingly)The food was exactly what you expect from diner food: very good, not amazing. The one strong negative for me was the TV blasting Fox News at the bar area, and all the TVs tuned to the news. Can everyone please stop supporting News Channels that actively lie to the public?I forgave it as part of the "vintage" vibe, but not everyone wants to have news (or "nooz" in this case) blaring at them while they eat, regardless of the source.Parking: There is a large lot with many spots. People seem to park on the lawn as well, which was surprising!Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, so they like kids. However, all the TVs had news on them, which isn't exactly kid-friendly. Especially Fox News, which lies, fear-mongers, exaggerates, sensationalizes, and pushes a Republican agenda.“
“No frills, throwback diner. Both in the ambience and the prices, which seem frozen in the early 2000s. Cash only, often with a line this is a local institution that's worth visiting if you enjoy crab benedict. Our little ones also like the French toast.“
