“Great food, atmosphere, and service. There are very few Diners in NJ that serve food with such a care and such quality and flavor that other places compromise, not here. Food , and coffee was superb. 100 % recommended. From Clifton to Summit for Tick Tock route 3 is no longer the best in my area. I love Diners so I needed to try this one even if it meant taking the ride to visit a small town vibe. A must visit my followers.“

“I hesitated to come here because I saw negative reviews somewhere about the food, but I’m happy that I did because it was delicious. The people were really nice, the food was great (huge portions), and it was clean. I will absolutely come here again and again.

“Generous amount of food. I ordered Turkey, which is one of the dishes I rate diners on. Compared to other diners, this is a bit above average. However, even with loads of gravy (they gave me a bowl full) and with a mild stuffing, I felt it was a little bland. Good for people on a low-salt diet? I needed to add a lot of pepper and some salt. I still would have liked a more savory taste. Nevertheless, the portion was big and the "side salad" was more like a mini salad entree. Take a look at the pictures. Wait staff was very nice. Lots of people there on a Sunday morning, so you may have to wait. Price is slightly high, but then everything is compared to a few years ago. BUT I'd rather pay more for this kind of quality. I will go back when I am in the area again.“

“I’m a lifelong Vicki’s customer and I absolutely love this diner. But on DoorDash the price for a side of fries is $12 which is absolutely insane. I feel like the prices in person and online for this diner keep increasing and I was always fine with it because I support small businesses and the pandemic was hard but small stuff like soup and fries should not be over $10. If that’s the case, I can’t keep eating here. Diners are supposed to be pretty cheap and now we spent over $30 a person for lunch.“

“We were in the area and stopped for a late lunch at the Park Wood Diner. I felt like a burger and ordered the blue burger supreme. Was not impressed as the burger was well done and not by order of medium. The burger itself was not seasoned so a bit disappointing. Decided to have dessert and ordered a slice of plain cheesecake and it was delicious. I would recommend it highly. My wife ordered the chocolate cream pie which was also delicious.“

“Great diner and great food. The place was empty but that’s cause it was a Sunday at 3 pm after the rush.
The food was excellent. Got the 2 eggs platter and they recommend the buffalo wings which were the perfectly blend of tang and saucy.
Everything was well seasoned and they provided home made whipped butter which I thought was a nice touch.
Staff was amazing. There was a playoff game on and being the only customer there we were all into it

“If you were looking for a traditional, down home diner style breakfast this is the place to go. The prices are reasonable, the locals clearly find this a home away from home, and the staff are cheerful and friendly. Plenty of food for the price too!“

“Home fries could have been thrown back on the grill but other than that we just had an excellent experience. Good food (omelet with bacon cheddar and mushrooms, and an eggs Benedict), excellent service and nice atmosphere. I enjoyed the experience more than I used to at the Train (had a bad experience with prior waitstaff and stopped going there).“

“Good place to eat, located on the main street in the city of Maplewood. Outside there are several tables and chairs to sit in the summer. The atmosphere is good and the service too. The food served is satisfactory to the customer's taste.“

“14 years ago, new to town, I brought my kids here after church. I was having one of my very occasional low blood sugar moments. I told the waitress as she sat us and I had a cup of orange juice before me in record time. I’ve cherished this restaurant ever since and am enjoying a great breakfast this very moment. Come and dine here. The food and people are wonderful.“

“We arrived around 5:00 PM on a Thursday. We were the only customers so there was parking on the street and plenty of parking in the back lot. Looking from the outside, this diner has a very nostalgic feel to it.The cook greeted us when we walked in and took our orders immediately. We each ordered the lunch special that consisted of 2 Texas weiners (with everything on it), fries, and a can of soda at a decent price of $12. The food was ready in about 5 minutes and the texas weiners were great! The atmosphere was quiet during the time we went, making it slightly awkward while we were eating, but the experience was great nonetheless.We will definitely come here again!“

“We visited the Park Ave Diner as part of the Somerset Patriots fun diner passport event. We’re almost done, with 2 to go!!
We were welcomed and shown a table right away, our waitress was friendly and attentive. The food came out fast, fresh and hot. There’s a large menu, with lots of choices, including healthy ones (and fun drinks!).
The diner is accessible ♿️, with ramps and lots of room between tables. Plenty of parking. Young people near our table were respected and well served!
Beautiful cakes and baked goods.

“This place is definitely worth a visit. The decor is vintage, but not antique... like 80s era. The service is fast and friendly and was also vintage :-)We went for breakfast on New Year's Day, so maybe it wasn't the best representation of the place, but I'll definitely be going back (and will update my review accordingly)The food was exactly what you expect from diner food: very good, not amazing.The one strong negative for me was the TV blasting Fox News at the bar area, and all the TVs tuned to the news.Can everyone please stop supporting News Channels that actively lie to the public?I forgave it as part of the "vintage" vibe, but not everyone wants to have news (or "nooz" in this case) blaring at them while they eat, regardless of the source.
Parking: There is a large lot with many spots. People seem to park on the lawn as well, which was surprising!
Kid-friendliness: It's a diner, so they like kids.However, all the TVs had news on them, which isn't exactly kid-friendly. Especially Fox News, which lies, fear-mongers, exaggerates, sensationalizes, and pushes a Republican agenda.“

“Definitely one of the best breakfasts I’ve ever eaten! I had the Crab Cakes Benedict, with a side of bacon! The food was so incredibly delicious, I didn’t want it to to end! So worth the 30 minute drive from Bergen County! I’m already planning on a return visit!“
