When we went in, he was behind the counter helping and taking care of other parts of the shop. How truly amazing is that, that the owner of this location cares so much that he puts himself in the shoes of his employees and works hands on to make sure everything is taken care of?“

“I love having a Dominican bakery so close. Everything we’ve had there has been FABULOUS!!! Honestly, some of the best coconut macaroons I have ever had and that includes ones I’ve had in DR. I had a coconut tree leches cake, and a strawberry short cake cup, which were both out of this world. The cold brew is so good, and the pumpkin sauce is on point. They’re also super friendly. Next time I need to try the pastelitos (empanadas).“

I got a blueberry latte when I visited and the espresso didn’t taste exactly right or strong enough and you couldn’t really taste the blueberry at all. Maybe adjusting the recipe might help? Their chocolate croissants are probably the best I’ve ever had though and are from a local baker I was told! All in all it’s a cozy little spot to go to!“

“My wife and I were shopping in Montclair and stopped for breakfast at the Bluestone Coffee Company. Bluestone is a coffee cafe and coffee roaster serving breakfast and lunch items. The atmosphere is cozy and warm and their coffee robust. We selected breakfast options of a veggie omelette with cheddar cheese and the zucchini parmesan frittata. Both came with a choice of toast and roasted potatoes. Both were fresh and savory and the potatoes roasted perfectly. Staff was friendly and prices were moderate and fair. Bluestone is a very good choice for breakfast and lunch.“
